Relaxing Is Meant For Relaxing

Eh... today be my day off. I'm too lazy to do much today, and sore to boot.

I did buy The Dark Knight, though *_*. There is great advantage to working until one in the morning, especially on days new movies are being released on DVD. :D

I watched it again while wrapping up the presents I got for the little boy on the tag I picked off of the Giving Tree. What a totally weird experience. Awesomeness from a dark and violent movie mixed with the careful planning of increasing a child's joy with a warm coat and shoes and the fluffiness of a new blanket and stuffed puppy. O_o

Heheh... hope he likes them. I hid each present inside of a present. That was my attempt to make up for the horrid wrapping job. >.< He's a kid though- he probably won't care too much about that.

Besides that, I've spent most of my days reading as much One Piece fanfiction as possible. I finally found a good many more (dreamy sigh), but alas... I think I may have reached the end. Nooooez! ;_;

So I continue to look for more. Hopefully I'll find some.

Much Preferred

Non-working related items first: I managed to wake myself up early enough today to attend a going away party for my friend's sister (actually, she's my friend too... so just friend XD). My grandmother, who'd gone on and on about me doing so didn't even pick me up, sending my grandpa instead. Which is fine with me- grandpa is a cool guy.

When we got on a less busy road, he actually had me drive for a bit. I did well on the straight road, and not too bad in a subdivision we drove through. I even got to drive on the curvy dirt road that leads to the house the party was at. Much fun :). After that, I went inside and my grandpa headed back home, saying that grandma would come pick me up in time for work.

I only had about an hour before I had to leave. But I got to visit, and it was nice seeing everyone. The friend I usually hang around with was off doing other things for a while before I actually got to see her though XD. 'Twas nice when she showed up though, because a lot of people came with her.

Ahem. Now this is where I must show a little bit of the teenaged girl self that in all technicallity I still am. >.>

I think I've only mentioned him a few times before, but one of the biggest non-childhood crushes I've ever had has been for a boy in this town I moved to. Shortly before I came, he'd moved to Wyoming, but he returned around the time I did and is going to be here for awhile.

I crush from quite a distance, and act normal around him, for how short those times are. And I don't spend like every second oogling over him or anything. Ick... that'd be weird. XD

Anyways- to get to the point. He was taking a picture with two other people there, and the one with the camera had them posing by the couch I was sitting on. Now, he happens to be a fairly tall person, and the two he was with are at least half a foot shorter. So he had one arm over each of their shoulders, and was bent forward to center the picture, as tall people are required to do in group shots.

Did I mention that they had their backs to the couch? Yes, I know it'd be odd for someone to pose in front of the couch and whatnot- just making sure here. So back to the couch... that I'm sitting on. Mind, I am right next to them, as I'm on the end closest here. So when he leaned forward... well... I had a really lovely view. :3

All right. I'm done teenaging now. >.>

Ahem. Work!

So it turned out to be four of us instead of five today. Yeesh... so glad it was a really tiny truck. Even if it was a truck of doom. We opened the door and a pallet tried to assasinate us O_o. I'm not even joking. Often enough, the people who load the truck do so in the worst way possible, causing all kids of boxes to fall on us when it's time to unload. Last week, a television nearly squashed me. But even that is much preferred to a pallet.

As troublesome as it was to remove everything in our way before we could unload, it still killed time faster than starting right away. As so much was palletized in the front, we got farther in the truck a lot faster.

I also got to do something new today. As Kathy was off, Michael on guard duty, and Sue got her days changed, it left us with no official scanner person. So Cherri decided to train me to use the gun, explained how to account for all of the items, and set me to work!

Oh man. I loved it so much in comparison to what I usually do. The scanner also happens to looks a lot like a phaser off of Star Trek. So when I wasn't scanning or separating break-packs, I was kinda messing around with it like it was one. XD

Of course, if the truck was bigger, I probably would've hated being the scanner. Besides electronics, we also have to sort the break-pack crap. Depending on how many there are, it can take a while. I have no idea if I worked at a good speed or not, as far as those go. Hopefully, I did.

On a side note, as I was getting ready to pull something out, Paul and I had a nice discussion.

Paul: Do you mind if I say something?
Pi: (bwazzuh?) No, I don't mind.
Paul: Since you've started working here, I think you've lost some weight.
Pi: ...Really? :D Sweeeet.
Paul: Looks like it. Could be you've gotten more muscle, but you look thinner.

Either way, this is most pleasing to me. Now, if I could stop eating junk food, this excercise would really pay off!

(sighs) Guess I better sleep now. Must be awake early for the meeting, and whatnot. Have a quiz thingy before I go. Picked this up from sparrowskit.

Planning

Talked to my mom shortly today. We both have Christmas off, so I may go down (or her come up) and we'll do something. That'll be fun. I'm hoping for a movie and stuff. I can afford it! It is so cool being able to do these things. Though I will admit... would've been nice to have some of this money before bills existed. >.<

Feets are sore, but work wasn't difficult. Fairly decent-sized truck. And despite the fact that half of the crew was gone around eleven, we still got done early. I like this so very much.

Tuna Melt(Down)

I'm already home! Whee! How cool is that? Today was so simple. We took out a frozen truck, unload a grocery, and then stocked some paper goods and chemicals. Easy as pie.

The only thing that gave us any trouble was when we were moving some displays out of the grocery alley to make room for all of the Black Friday stuff for tomorrow. Someone had done an absolutely horrid job of displaying the tuna. It already looked like it was toppling.

To move all of these displays, we shrink wrap them first, so nothing falls. And though the person who wrapped this one up didn't do it properly, I'm grateful it was there. After moving the pallet, I didn't even touch the darn thing. All of a sudden, a sound could be heard throughout the store (no joke- Electronics came to see what had happened XD) as over four hundred cans of tuna caved in on each other.

Yes, you heard correctly. Caved in- they didn't fall outwards, which would have been difficult in the first place with it shrinked wrapped. They all just toppled in towards the center and from there started bulging out. Pressed out against the plastic until there was this huge bubble of cans.

I swear the thing had a mind of its own. No one would go near it for several seconds because even though no one was touching it, it kept on moving. More and more cans joined the bubble, which gradually sank to the floor, below the wrap, and released the tuna. We picked them up and put everything in boxes, laughing each time one of us jumped away from the display as it came to life again. When we were done, we double shrink-wrapped it so it wouldn't get worse. But I have this feeling that I'm going to hear something about it tomorrow... XD

On that subject, I'm so not looking forward to it. The backroom was a freaking mess when I got there, got worse with all of the grocery we had to stuff, and will likely not look much better tomorrow. Normally, the day shift is in charge of cleaning it up, but often times when things are busy, they're asked to help other departments out and don't always get the place done in time.

Yeah... tomorrow's Black Friday. I seriously doubt they'll have the chance to do anything. >.<

This translates into: One pain in the ass Friday. We'll likely have two trucks, and nowhere to kill anything. At least we'll have people working. Provided they show up or something. I mean, I myself am half tempted to come down with a serious illness and promptly recover the next day. XD

Anyways, has anyone else seen that article in Entertainment News International with an interview with Peter Laird? I stumbled upon it today and am getting a little excited!

ENI: Recently there have been rumors flying around about another TMNT feature film in the works? Is that true? If so will it be CGI or live-action and why the decision to do one or the other?

Peter: Since the 2007 "TMNT" movie, we have been talking about doing a fifth film. We are currently VERY close to signing a deal to do a new film, and if it happens, the current thinking is to have it be a live action/CGI "hybrid", which is to say that the Turtles and Splinter (and possibly some other characters which we've yet to introduce) would be rendered very realistically in CGI, while everything else would be filmed in live action.

As long as they don't use suits again, I won't mind too much. Though I think it's much harder to recast actors than it is voices. (nod) However, live action has the potential of making a movie more serious, I think, so that could be a plus! :D

It's rather cold tonight. Even by my standards. I think a lot has to do with the fact that I live in the basement and that I can't seem to figure out how to make my heater work. ^_^;

Work is going to be a bit difficult from here on out. One of the women from the day shift is moving out of ICS and to the Connection Center, and Jacob up and quit today. He actually should be in a different state by now, come to think of it.

Either way, this means more work for us all. I feel sorry for Aaron- with my schedule change and Jacob's departure, he'll be the only guy working on Wednesdays.

Also- everyone seems to think Billy is on his way to being fired. I actually don't mind Billy- he works better than I do, and I find him entertaining. Aaron and Nathan don't share my view, but then again, both are in their thirties. And while I fear the work load if we lost Billy as well, a part of me can't help but think: Dude, if everyone keeps quitting and getting fired, I surely won't be just a temp for long. XD

We just got back from the grocery store. It was as I was wandering around there that I realized all I've eaten today was a piece of lasagne. ;_; I no likey lasagne.

Anyways, everyone I was chatting with late last night? Remember how I wanted to stay up until four to see the Gymnastics? Well, I woke myself up and it wasn't on. (sigh) So I went back to sleep and was way tired at the Kingdom Hall. >.> Heheh...

Gah- Can't Sleep

Stomachache From Hell

Ugh. I feel like crap. I think my stomach is in league with Wal*Mart and is slowly trying to kill me. It's like my intestines are trying to worm their way out through my sides. >.<

I didn't even eat anything this morning and I woke up having to vomit! Soup is only marginally improving this. Plus, I'm bleeding again when I go to the bathroom. Damn, I wish mom would get me to a doctor!

Gah, I shall look up one myself after a nap (if I can sleep). Maybe I'll feel a little better to, though I doubt it.

Nothing Like a Fifteen Hour Nap to Make Me Want to Go BACK to Bed

I went to bed around one this morning. For me, that's like early. I woke up around eight with a stomachache and went back to sleep... and woke up around a quarter to five. >.<

Hmm... I is hungry.

Well, I need to figure out a way to force myself to makes with the writings. Like... ooh... rewards or something! Not that the finished product isn't a reward in itself, for it totally is, but little things like that can get me moving.

Seeing as I can't really pay myself (XD), maybe I can reward myself in chocolate. :D

....Provided I can force myself not to get into said chocolate before the writing is done. (headdesk)

Good idea though, right? Next thing of M&M's I buy I'll have to make last though. Because I have a permit to buy and presents to ship and whatever's leftover needs to be my backup payment for the net bill.

The interesting thing about this Knight is the ability to switch from fantasy to reality. There are exceptions to the rule, but this is the type that may have had imaginary friends as a youngster. Their stuffed animals also were great companions. The Queen’s Knight will see the good in almost anyone or anything – but their depth of emotion can remain hidden even from themselves. Circumstances tend to reveal sudden responses.

Not all life is rosy and this Knight is not exempt from disappointment or frustration with humanity. They may feel incompetence when dealing with their own ethical values. Things aren’t simply white black, but a grand battle of Good versus Evil. Evil must be reckoned with but Good shall eventually win. It is not that they fight evil, but that they fight for the essence of moral good. Doing something good is quite satisfactory for them and indeed increases their happiness. It is when something is not reciprocated to them that they are saddened and disappointed by others. They learn that others aren’t as self-sacrificing.

The Queen's Knight is dominated by an inner world of intense feeling and deeply rooted ethics. They seek to form their life based on their views. They are highly curious of those around them so are readily accepting of others unless their values are being threatened. They promote insight and understanding amongst others and contribute well thought ideas. They however can be a bit too idealistic.

I'm not entirely sure if these new dragons are rare judging by how many of them I've seen tonight, but they're definitely going fast. Took eight tries to finally obtain mine!
