I'm going to echo everyone who reads the Naruto manga and wonder what the hell Kishimoto is thinking. Or what drug he's taking. The things he's doing to his characters right now is awful- I've seen fanfic writers nail these characters better than he is. I'm still reading simply because I like to see stories to their ends, and I've always loved the secondary characters and want to see what happens to them. Though right about now I'll admit to being increasingly worried about how he'll ruin them too, or just plain ignore them. He's already thrown Hinata under a bus, after all. This whole thing with Sakura makes that blow about ten times worse, by the way.

At least one manga remains awesome. As per usual, One Piece leaves me running around like my head got chopped off because of how great it is. :D

But why does Oda have to be so good at mean cliffhangers ;_;. Now that I've significantly calmed down and considered that panel... I wanna guess it's Doflamingo. And really hope we finally figure out what his Devil Fruit ability is.

Anyways, Youtube Friday. The video that I wanted to use got removed from Youtube! I'm so sad. It was a really funny one, too.

So I had to rush through all the videos I've watched this last week for something suitable to share. There's only been like one that really stands out in my memory though, so here it is. Enjoy!

My fever broke on Sunday. Which did me no good as I was supposed to wait that twenty-four hours to go back to work first, which would have me to work on Tuesday. Which is my day off.

(sigh) Another week without pay. It's a good thing that raise should be kicking in now, because I'm going to need the extra forty cents. :(

In the mean time, clearly I need to visit with that brother who let me stay at his house more often. I mean, I've known his family since I was a baby, and I actually played with his daughters when I was young. They were both much older than me and are married and moved out now, but I liked them too. As is obvious by the fact that they offered me their home, they are very kind.

They've also completely redone their house since the last time I've been in it. They had a couch made out of Italian leather. Yes, I chose to sleep on that instead of the bed. It was the comfiest piece of furniture I've ever had the peasure of sleeping on, and most likely the most expensive (I'm betting at least five paychecks). It was heavenly.

I think the only problem with the house is that it seems to exist in this place where all wireless tech is consumed into this voic of nothingness.... Translation- I had no net access. That wasn't so bad though- was probably good for me, even.

Anyways, I'm home now and very tired. Being sick does that, unfortunately. The medicine is working very well, but my cough is still bugging me some.

Now have an entertaning video. I found this guy on the Nostalgia Crtic's website and must declare that his opinions on manga so strongly resemble my own that I would defer to him on any future manga/anime I may pick up. :D

You may be surprised to learn that I have watched enough of all of these here (besides Fullmetal Alchemist) to have an opinion. Ha! I certainly have! I plan to change my lack of knowledge on FMA too- several have told me I would like that show, so I hope to look into it soon.

Small note on Naruto- I go ahead and give it a thumbs up because I like the supporting characters. A good cast is one of the main things that keeps me interested in the fandoms I get into, and I have to say that the characters in Naruto are enough to keep me in despite all of the other horrors one must endure with it.

The poor soul, trying to thrive despite it's mangaka. ;_;

...Did I mention just how refreshing it is to see someone basically state all of my opinions nearly word for word? 'Cause just in case I didn't, it was wonderful. :)

As much as I love making them, icons are frustating work guys. Yesterday I spent six hours coloring one image. Blood is, by the way, more difficult than you'd think to color properly when there is an excess of it. I spent another two hours today working on that alone, sending the image to Angel (who really needs to get an LJ) for approval.

Once we'd both determine that it was in fact good enough to be iconned, I ended up cropping out two thirds of it all. Including said bloody area which I'd spent said two hours perfecting. WHAT THE HELL.

Adding the finishing touches is taking longer than I planned. The text doesn't want to work with me. >.<

Anyways. I guess it's something to pass the time. I'm still coughing up a lung, much to my irritation. I do all right until I have to work, naturally. But it gets kinda annoying when management, hell-bent on this new system, insists that if we don't have things done by a certain time there will be serious consequences.

...I don't think they realize just how dangerous our job was to begin with. I don't care if other stores have less people and somehow are able to get the job done faster- I'm sure there are other variables thrown in there that work to their favor that we don't have. Besides maybe the cart pushers, our job is the most physically demanding. I've seen other associates freak out when we lift things like grills or bookshelves by ourselves. They're supposed to get assistance with those items, whereas if you can't do that by yourself in the back room quickly, you're a waste of space.

I guess I just don't understand what they're expecting of us. And a part of me thinks it's really unfair that we're treated this way. I mean, on Monday the garden center guy (James) was made officially ICS. His first day back there, we got told that if we weren't done with the truck at the time given that we would all be coached. It makes my brain hurt. They keep this up, and people are going to quit. I think I'm currently the only one there who actually needs this job.

RARGH. On the plus side though, some people are understanding. I've decided I need to get sick more often (Just not for so long- COUGH. Go away NOW), if I get this much special treatment. My first day back I felt like shit and was told I looked as much. Everyone but me had hours of overtime they needed to kill and when they were told to do so at lunch, Aaron basically told them they could shove that idea where the sun don't shine, seeing as that would leave me to pull the entire backroom by myself for two hours.

When I noticed that the four hours I'd requested off for a wedding were in the second half of my sift instead of the first, I asked a support manager (the awesome one, not the asshole) if he could change it for me. He gave me the whole day off because he said I looked like I needed it (te wedding was nice, by the way).

Donald bought me some more Mike's Hard Lemonade without me even bothering to ask.

Billy stopped by my house to give me a ride to work on Friday even though he's out of work for the week.

And astonishingly, Kathy, of all people, offered to give me a ride home two days in a row. The world is... a very strange place.

So in the mean time, I sleep. And hope my cough goes away soon because otherwise I may actually have to see a doctor. My wallet will be very displeased with me if this occurs.

...I'm attempting self-medication with reading lots of fanfic, but this has backfired. I found out earlier that [info]fantasyfan17updated her One Piece/Naruto crossover (FF.net has nearly fifty of these... and hers is pretty much the only good one) yet again and have been dying of laughter.

Because I totally need to pimp out more fic to people, I may as well start with this one. The first chapter actually features Zoro and Shikamaru- and I didn't even suggest the idea. As a matter of fact, I didn't even know she was writing the thing until an hour or so before she posted the first chapter. On top of that, I don't even think she knew I'm a Shikamaru fan. Which made it both a surprise and amazingly perfect. (gushes)

The second chapter has too much win for words. Franky and Rock Lee. I die. XD

And this latest chapter I actually did suggest, but she did it wonderfully. Ah, it's a very good thing these characters will probably never actually meet. Because Nami would so do this.

Daniiiiiii! Have I told you how awesome you are lately? :3

07 August 2009 @ 09:27 am

So it's now Friday. This is the first Friday I haven't worked or quite some time, and it is most pleasing. Camping was short, but now we're at my aunt's house. She made bacon and eggs this morning and I about died. I haven't eaten such a meal since I moved out! Mostly 'cause I suck at cooking, but yeah. So much love.

Anyways, now I'm getting ready for the religious assembly. I'm still trying to get back to normal people sleeping patterns. Thus far I've gotten to bed at two only to wake up at eight. GAH. Too early. But this leaves me behind everyone else in getting ready and thus I must be quick. So this Youtube Friday brings a Naruto AMV... seeing as I must go on yet another AMV hunt before I find some more good One Piece ones. XD

E Nomine has such a cool sound to them. Doesn't matter that I don't speak German or anything. I really wish this vid had a higher quality though. Alas, this was the only copy I could find of it.

My feet (and pretty much every other part of my body to some extent) and my job don't get along so well. We've been having a slew of large trucks lately with few people to unload them and it's been taking it's toll. I'd request some time off, but that just puts the rest of my co-workers into the same nasty position as we've been in lately. >.<

ICS is down to six people total at the moment. As mentioned before, Jesse has moved (still saddened by this ;_;), and I learned today that they let Michael go for his poor attendance. Kathy's been gone on remodel, but that one hasn't really affected us much as the rollers are of more contribution than she is. XD

She's supoosed to be coming back next month, but we're hearing rumors that she won't be ICS. Pretty much all of us are hoping they'll prove true.

Though that does leave us with a lot of spots to fill. While Kathy was useless, Jesse and Michael were great workers. Management has replaced one of them already with this really awesome guy who's helped us before named Donald, and he starts at the end of the month. We still need people though- at least one more, anyways.

Subject change ahoy! Read the newest Naruto chapter.

Oh hai there plot )

And now it's Youtube Friday. And look what I found! Episode nine of Avatar Abridged is here!

Chosen for me by[info]ivy_chan:

Photobucket

Hee, I made this one! Helena Bertinelli was born into a prominent mafia family. At the age of eight, her parents were murdered before her eyes in their own home*. When she's twenty-one and set to gain her family's inheritance, she learns more about the murder and becomes the Huntress to seek revenge upon the killer as well as the ones who ordered their death. In the comics, she's shown to be a bit more violent than your usual costumed hero. She once took up the Batgirl mantle when Batman disappeared from Gotham for a time, but gave it up when she wouldn't follow his exact orders. For a time she was actually exiled from Gotham when Batman thought she was getting out of control. She leaves with Richard Dragon and The Question and during this time achieves a better balance with herself. When she does return to Gotham though, she's torn between the new ethical version of herself and the one of vengeance that still hears the call of "blood cries for blood".

JLU follows this origin pretty well in my opinion, while keeping her character true to form as well. She's actually one of my favorite characters in the series, and it only helps that when she's around, The Question (one of my other faves) usually pops in too. Their relationship is awesomesauce as they kick equal amounts of ass and have actual chemistry together, whereas some of the other pairings in the series take forever to get moving or have a lot of friction to them.

Photobucket

Nico Robin from One Piece pretty much has the saddest back story you can get. She was born on an island of scholars (Ohara), to archaeologist Nico Olvia, who left to sea to study the True History when she was two. Left with family to care for her, they made it very clear that se was not wanted by both physical and verbal abuse. Most of the other people on the island feared her for her Devil Fruit ability (she can replicate any part of her body onto any surface that she can see). The only people who accepted her were the scholars at the Tree of Knowledge, where she spent a lot of her time. At only eight, she aced the archaeology exam and expressed interest in learning the True History like her mother, but was reproved for this. She ran crying to the beach and encountered a giant named Saul. The two became friends, but upon learning he was on Ohara, Saul warned her that the Marines were coming to destroy the island. At this time Nico Olvia returned, heaving escaped from Marine custody, to warn the scholars of this same thing. The Marines were after the Poneglyphs that were kept in the tree, and they intended to kill everyone to make sure no one learned the True History. The scholars refused to leave though, wishing to protect the tree. Robin returns to the tree to warn them as well, but this is when the attack begins. Olvia (who is gravely wounded) later recognizes her daughter when she hears her name, but then the Poneglyphs are found and all of the scholars are sentenced to death by a Buster Call. The Marines leave as the bombardment begins, and Robin is reunited for her mother for a short time. Saul shows up, having come when he saw the battleships, and Olvia urges him to save her daughter (despite Robin's protests). While he attempts to get her off the island, Olvia and the other scholars throw as many books as they can into the water so that others may find them until the tree begins to burn down. In the meantime, Saul takes on a Marine Admiral with a DF ability over ice while Robin attempts to hide away on a ship, though she has no success. The admiral begins to encase Saul's body in ice, and before he is completely frozen he tells Robin to take his raft (which he'd been building on the beach). She runs to the raft and sails away, weeping as Ohara burns to the ground. She's the only known survivor.

On the run from the Marines, the Government gives her a bounty of $79 million, spreading the lie that she sank six battleships to cover up the truth. Robin spends the next twenty years of her life on the run, spedning it with various people. All either tried to kill her or turn her in. When she was twenty-four, she was accepted into the Baroque Works organization because she could read Poneglyphs (few can) and is the vice-president for four years. Uninterested in Baroque Works' goals, she attempts to help Luffy and his crew from time to time discreetly. In the end she attempts to betray the leader of the organization and is stabbed and left for dead, only to be saved by Luffy. When the battle is over and the Strawhats prepare to leave, she stows away on their ship, telling Luffy that as he chose to save her when she had resigned herself to die, he has to let her join them. Luffy has no qualms with this.

Character-wise though. she's also very interesting. Obviously very smart, she enjoys reading. She's pretty much the only member of the Strawhat crew who's reserved, not to mention not overly-dramatic (though macabre XD). She's usually very calm and collected, but can be rather intimidating. Robin has the third highest bounty of the crew.

There's of course more to her story, but this is getting long already. O_o; I swear I was being brief.

Photobucket

Shikamaru is simply made of awesome. This is the guy who starts out as the laziest character in the Naruto series, only to turn out to be an absolute genius and one of the most loyal characters. He'd much rather play games like Shogi, but grows into a capable strategist (sometimes leader) over time. I first fell in love with his character during the few glimpses of the Sasuke Retrieval Arc that I saw on television (such as his speech on how he'd never like Sasuke much, he was still a Konoha ninja and they would get him back). And it's no secret now that the Hidan and Kakuzu arc is my favorite of all time. I am constantly tickled with glee that he manages to get revenge for his Sensei's death in only a few chapters, and that he does it without going emo. And more by strategy than some newly developed ninja power.... though his shadow abilities are pretty awesome anyways. :D

In addition to that, his relationship with other characters is simply made of win. I love the Team 10 dynamic. I love the little friendship with Naruto (though I'd never ship them). I love his interactions with Temari (and I do ship them). His relationship with Asuma is one of my favorites for the mentor category. The way he checks in on Kurenai now that Asuma's gone is also very sweet, and I adore how he's promised to take their child as his apprentice, hoping to be as cool of a mentor as Asuma was to him.

Photobucket

Toph! Another awesome character! Blind and a child, she's still the greatest earthbender alive and has proved it more than once (metalbending ftw!). She uses her bending to 'see', and in some ways this form of vision is more aware than the norm. Besides this, her personality rocks. She's the queen of snark in this show, independent, but still fairly young and thus has things to learn.

...Also. She's the freaking Melon Lord. :D God, I love that quote. XD

Photobucket

Heheh... no point in explaining Leo. I've done it enough times already, haven't I (feel free to correct me though and I can essay again ^_^) ? Plus, nearly everyone on my flist is a TMNT fan, so it'd kinda be pointless... but yeah. Love Leo and all of his little personality bits. This scene is one of my faves- his face. Icon says it all. XD

Photobucket

Likwise, I shan't explain Bishop too much. Though I do think he is a) the most awesome villain on the show and b) the most threatening to the guys, as he basically represents everything that would be a danger to them. He also has a lot more story to him than most of the villains on the show, along with a villainy purpose other than established evil. After the ninja forces, he's also pretty much the only other character I've seen who can match the TMNT in hand-to-hand combat without reliance on gadgets/other weaponry.

*Huntress' original backstory had her kidnapped and raped by a rival mafia family at the age of six and hides her shame of the incident until she's nineteen. At this age her family is murdered at a wedding before her eyes and she sets out to put an end to the crime families.

First off, Jesse is like the most awesome co-worker ever. I don't think I say this often enough. But he's funny as hell, plays the Insult Game with me, buys me Mike's Hard Lemonade, sings badly while throwing the truck, and if you poke his belly button he'll laugh like the Pillsbury Dough Boy. XD

Anyways. Time for more on Deadpool. :D

Yes, I hear the mass groanings. Do I rave this much about my new fandoms usually? I don't think so. Most of my lve was already established for TMNT and Avatar, and I think the only other one that came quite as close in print was One Piece (which I still heart, by the way).

But seeing as his fanbase is so small, I must go out and get as many people interested in him as possible. So far, I think I've gotten like six people interested on and off the nets. Good start, but there is much more to be accomplished!
Also, I need icons. As soon as I get Photoshop transferred to my new laptop, I'm making some.

So here's Friday Youtube!

EDIT: Read the new Naruto chapter. WTF. I didn't want Kakashi to be dead and all, but what a lame ending. Reset button much?

Pfft
As you recall, I left for work early yesterday.

Hrm. Okay, wait. Get to that in a moment. Quick side story- On my way there, as I was feeling tremendously hungry, I stopped at the Moxie Java/TCBY for something to eat. I saw something called a Thriller Chiller and decided that looked good. I was very surprised when after the chocolate ice cream and Butterfingers I was asked if I wanted mocha or cappuchino in it. Ick- I no likey coffee. However, I wasn't about to waste it, so I went with mocha.

They put whipped cream and cinnamon on it and gave me a straw and a spoon. I think I died. It was soooo good. You could just barely taste the coffee in it. I'm already craving another one and think I'll stop by to get it later. :3

Anyways. Back to the important work stuff. >.>

So yeah. Got there about an hour early and first stopped by the Photo Center to talk to the department manager there. The lady who's leaving photo said she'd left a note for her saying I'd be coming in.

The third lady who works in photo was up there when I arrived and I asked her if she could tell me where the department manager was.

Photo Lady: Oh, she won't be back until Monday.
Pi: ... >.< Okay. I'll come back then.

So then I proceeded to look for the Assistant Manager who governs over the front end/electronics departments. She's the one who ultimately handles this stuff and such, and I knew she'd be there that day. It didn't take long to find her, and when she wasn't busy I asked her about the position.

Assistant Manager: I'm not hiring anyone for photo right now.
Pi: What about the associate that's leaving for the vision center? She told me you'd be looking for someone.
Assistant Manager: She was only part time, so I don't think I'll replace her.
Pi: ... (waits until she's out of sight) (facepalms)

All of that happened in about fifteen minutes, leaving me to wander the store until my shift started. I was rather peeved about that.
...But that Thriller Chiller totally made up for it. (loves on it)
So yeah. Won't be leaving the ICS anytime soon. And as there's still only one person there who pisses me off, I'll take that as a good thing.

Speaking of that person. Kathy was rather the bitch yesterday, as she tends to be when I'm asked to scan (Jen's back- yay!). She disappeared at one point to go to Pets to get some fish out for customers, but was gone for forty-five minutes to do it. I'm not even that slow. Translation: She was ranting to people after that.

We finished the truck before our first break, which is awesome. It was only a 1400 piece truck, but still- was sweet. Then we all went to break, at which point cupcakes were waiting for us. I don't like cupcakes, but everyone who ate them said they were really good. They had a lot of frosting on them, so watching Jesse eat was hilarious. Worried that he'd get chocolate on his face, he proceeded to eat his first cupcake in one bite.

Everyone: O_O
Pi: You still got choclate on your face.
Jesse: I know. Was a good cupcake though.
Jen: Might be better if, you know, you chew it.
Jesse: Oh shush!

He said he was only going to eat two, but he ate four. It was so funny to watch. He ate the rest normally, but he'd be like 'all right, one more can't hurt'. XD I love the guy. He's awesome.

After the fourth, he moved the box of cupcakes to another table after Aaron took one so he wouldn't be tempted anymore.

Aaron: (eating) Will you quit staring at my cupcake?! S'creepy.
Pi: (checks) OMG- you were staring at his cupcake!
Jesse: Ahh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!
Pi: XD Now I'm imagining it talking to you.
Jesse: (goes along with joke) Help me! Help me, Jesse! The hillbilly's eating me too slowly!
Aaron: That's it. I'm gonna eat this thing in slow motion now, just to piss you off.
Jesse: You guys are so mean! I'm never eating another cupcake again!
Pi: (has retrieved box of cupcakes and holds them out)

XD

Moving right along- read both the new Naruto and One Piece chapters.

Cut for slightly spoilerishness, I suppose )

So it has come to my attention that people are putting up Youtube vids on Fridays. Okay, I'll bite. :D

Have an Avatar fan trailer. Make sure to click the HD option!

Figures. One a day where we finally have a full crew, we have no truck. Stupid district office peoples, I hates you.

Of course, tomorrow we'll also have a full crew. As far as experience goes though, we'd have been better off tonight. Instead of one new guy getting the hang of things, we'll have two. Both have helped us out before, but still, it's a lot to learn.

And of course Kathy will be there, so it kinda works out to be more like five people in the end. (is evil)

Random musing on a creepy person )
Anyways... got three association memes to do. For now I'll take it slow and just attempt to do one every night, or something. ^_^

First up: the ones from [info]half_elven!

1. Independence (as in you're living on your own and have a job and stuff)

At first, I was going to go on about how I acquired this independence. Had it written up and everything. But then I decided that obviously wasn't what you meant, and everyone's heard the tale before. Thus I won't go into it.

Living on my own has been a very interesting experience. I'm very grateful for the freedom, but I never expected it to be this lonely. Before this, I saw both my family on a regular basis, along with a score of online friends. Due to the move, I'm lucky if I see my family once a month, and due to my work schedule, I only get to talk to a small handful of my online friends two or so days out of the week.

But, it's had it's good points too. I am no longer bound or confused by the rules of two separate households. My stepdad paid my first three months of rent, but as of the beginning of this year, I have supported myself completely off of my own money. By doing so, I have also proven everyone who thought I was incapable of taking care of myself wrong, and this is something I take immense pride in.

2. Jehovah's Witness (only person I know who is)

You telling me no one's come knocking on your door yet? I obviously need to consort with the congregations down there and fix this. XD

But yeah, I'm a Jehovah's Witness. I value my religion greatly, but I'm not anywhere near close to a good example for it. Things that come easily to a lot of people I know are harder for me to do (my relationship with Jehovah could be a lot stronger, and the fault is on my end, I assure you). I also have a very hard time talking to people about my religion, mainly because I don't want it to seem like I'm focing it upon them. On the rare ocassion that I'm asked, I can't answer questions as well as I'd like to because usually my answer is only the foundation to what they want to know.

I will say this though- I have never had any disbelief in the things I have been taught. The one time I doubted whether or not my God was real was swiftly answered personally between him and I overnight. And there have been more than a few times where he's come through for me ( [info]disxox even seems to have seen this).

3. Shikamaru shadow dude

ROFL I get associated with Shikamaru. WIN.

Intelligent characters have always been a must for me. Genius isn't a prerequisite (otherwise I'd probably like Donny over Leo in TMNT), but intelligence is. But yeah- Shikamaru is a genius, so this isn't an issue, obviously. Mainly though, it's his tactical skills we see demonstrated the most, and that's seriously cool. I like seeing a guy win the battle due more to his strategy than his power any day (Rasengan does not fix everything, kthnx).

Besides that? He's not motivated out of a desire to be the best- in the beginning, he was more than content with being average. He's outgrown this and gotten stronger, of course, but for different reasons. Shikamaru has gotten to the point we see him at now for a want to make sure he can do all he can for those close to him, and so that none die because of any mistake on his part.

...Also? He got revenge for his Sensei's murder without resorting to becoming an asshole to do it, and managed to take said revenge in one story arc. Suck that, Sasuke.

4. Selling your unsavory siblings to the Foot. (bwhahah)

XD I remember that! Heheh... even if it helped the Foot, it was so worth it. Got them out of my hair and then you had to deal with them. Ha!

5. First person on SS I got to know and liked. bwhahah

Now I feel special. Hee! XD

So yeah. You appeared on SS not too long after it's creation. This was back when I was super active on the forum, and before you were a Footie (you were a Leo fan then!). I remember there were several fun discussions then, and lots and lots of games. And FIC. I knew you would be an awesome writer, and I shamelessly nudged you to prove that. XD

My expander is gone! Muah! It's so nice to be able to feel the roof of my mouth again. That damn thing was in there eight months longer than it was scheduled to be and had worn out it's welcome before then.

That said, my teeth seem to be doing all right too. They're scarred, as I thought they'd be, but not bad enough that I'd have to have the braces removed all together. Also, they hurt like hell right now. Besides putting in a stronger wire, they added a few more brackets to the teeth that were covered by my expander. So it's a wee bit tight in there. (rubs mouth)

After we were done with the orthodontist, I went to visit the old house. My sister looks well enough, and my brother was very well behaved when I saw him. I was glad to see mom too. I miss them all so much. Got to visit for an hour before we had to head back in the opposite direction- first to pick up my other brother and sister so they could stay the night with my grandma. Not too long after we had them, grandma had to go to the mall. Just real quick, you know.

Yeah right. I already knew it was going to take way longer than that. XD I hate the mall. Minutes turn into hours, and I never have any fun there.

Ahem. Though I did buy an OT t-shirt when I went into Hot Topic while grandma was taking the kids to the bathroom. >.> It was kinda cool looking, despite the OT-ness, and I liked it. Heheh... ^_^

But anyways, if we hadn't taken so long there, I might've had time to nap when I got home. But we didn't get back until nine, so I've been making myself stay awake so I can keep to my new schedule. (yawns) I is tired though. Been stimulating my mind by making a Naruto AMV, and then later by taking a shower.

Shower which, by the way, turned out to be of doom.

I'd just gotten in and had the water going. And then I suddenly nearly stepped on a spider. Now, normally I could care less about the things, but I'd never seen one like it. It was dark red, and fairly large, with long legs. It got washed down the drain when I moved, thankfully, and I thought nothing more of it.

Then I stepped out of the shower. After drying myself off, I reached for my pajama pants. ...And a very similar spider to the one before crawled out of it.

Okay. So creepiness levels went up there. I actually shrieked. Once the spider was on the floor (and I'd confirmed it wasn't anywhere near my PJ's), I chased it around trying to get it on a sheet of toilet paper with the intention of flushing it. Like spiders do, however, it tried to elude me. So I picked up a rag with the idea of tricking it into the direction of my other hand.

Only when I picked up the rag? I found two more spiders beneath it.

That was seriously freaky O.O;. Like I said- I'd never seen ones like that until now, so I have no idea whether they're dangerous or not. I chased them around with the hairspray and flushed them. And now I'm totally terrified of my bathroom. Because seriously? I do keep that one clean. Now I'm thinking that maybe I should clean my bedroom sooner after all. I mean, I do live in a basement. There's apt to be all kinds of bugs coming in here, and a cleaner place will give them fewer places to hide.

...Man. I'm almost afraid to go to sleep. (shifty eyes)

But I must. I'm exhausted, and need sleep to make sure I can work tomorrow. Stupid work...

Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words in regards to my last entry. (HUGS) You guys are the best. I'd have gladly followed each of your suggestions had a solution not fallen into my lap as I was leaving for work. The condensed version is as follows:

Pi: Woe is me! I am made of fail!
Mailbox: Hey, you gots mail!
Pi: Oh look, my newspaper! I shall angst and read at the same time, for I'm a multi-tasker.
Newspaper: There's not much in me besides ads and coupons!
Pi: Well that's no fun. Very well, I shall attempt to find a good deal.
Ad in Newspaper: Come to the local grocery store! You can shop for food and clothes, play the lottery, and pay your bills all in one convenient place!
Pi: Hey, I know where that is! And it's not far! (goes to grocery store) Hey, can I pay my power bill here?
Person: (snatches bill and moniez) (stamps) Your bill is paid!
Pi: Yay! ^_^;

Ahem. >.> Okay, so I'm no Shakespeare. And the newspaper didn't really talk to me. But it sounds far more interesting than me just narrating, yes?

But yeah. Power bill is paid now and I'm much happier. Also, from there my grandma took me to work. She had my little brother and sister with her today, and I got to spend a little time with them before work. In the car, I stumbled across a new and pleasing piece of information concerning my bro. Besides liking shows like Iron Man and Transformers now (Bwahaha... I see I've left my mark), he has gone from Disney songs to the music of Def Leppard XD. It was seriously awesome. He and I dueted 'Pour Some Sugar on Me' as we headed to Wal*Mart.

They came in the store with me and as Grandma took my sister to the toys department, I dragged him around to customer service to cash my paycheck. He's seriously cute.

Pi: (gets moniez) Hey, would you like a dollar?
Bro: Seriously?
Pi: Yep! Here. (gives dollar) You have to share it with your sister, though, okay?
Bro: O.O Can I put it in my pcoket?
Me: Sure! ^_^

I shall have to inquire if he did share or not. I'm sure he did though. He can be a brat sometimes, but he's honest.

And now I am glad to be home. I was so tired at work for some reason! And it seemed really hot back there too, though I was told it was just me when I complained. Either way, around our eleven o'clock break, I was ready to go home and sleep. Took a short nap right there on the table. XD

Walking home was waking me up a bit, with the change in temperature. Didn't last long though. It's official- all of my co-workers refuse to let me walk home alone now. I was about a third of the way there when a large car stopped in front of me. Billy and Jacob were in there and asked if I'd like a ride. Hey, I'm not going to pass on that.

When asked why I was walking, I quickly explained that I couldn't drive. Jacob already knew this and even went so far as to explain how Nathan wouldn't even let me walk alone, to which I grumbled a little bit because I am quite capable of this.

Billy: So wait- you've been walking this entire time?
Pi: When I don't have a ride, yeah. It's not that hard of a walk at all, really.
Billy: Yeah, but you're a girl! If I'd known, I wouldn't let you walk home by yourself either.
Pi: >.<

So while I'm grateful, I'm also grumpy. My grandmother shall never know of this. Can't have her thinking that everyone agrees with her. XD

Let's see, what else? Ah yes. When I got home, I finished up some more of the challenge maps on my TMNT game. I've gotten all three shells on fourteen of them. the fourth map is still proving to be a pain in the butt. The only one worse than it is the ninth challenge map. I know there's a shortcut that could get me there faster, but the problem is I can't really reach it. I keep hitting a wall and falling down. >.< Will figure it out someday.

Small cut for those who don't want to hear about Naruto )
And now I do believe I should finally get some sleep. I really need to learn to get to bed on time. XD

Once again, thank you guys for being such kind and helpful friends! (hugs!)
