I am obviously having a horrible case of cycling through by Bipolar again. It's going so fast I can't quite keep a good hold on it, which is frustrating because it hasn't been this bad since high school. Yeah- I'm annoyed.

Kathy should like, go fall off the face of the Earth or something. Along with all of the people like her. THE WORLD WOULD BE SUCH A BETTER PLACE.
-
People also need to stop being so sensitive. I can not be snippy with you if I've spoken less than two sentences all day. Wanna complain to management to me about that? Fine. Someday I'll just be telling them about how you spend twenty minutes or more talking to people every time you take out a pallet.

New Toshiba laptop- ALL IS FORGIVEN. Okay, LJ still looks kinda weird and cropping is as weird as I thought it'd be, but HOLY CRAP you're so much speedier than my old laptop! Downloading Photoshop always took at least four hours, but with you I had it in twenty minutes! (loves on)
-
I picked up Brook from One Piece at a RP here on LJ. I had to drop Agent Bishop at the TT one due to stress and time issues, but this one has a bit of a slower pace. I'm having so much fun, though. I can tell I need to work on him some, though. I don't think I'm doing too horribly though (I hope...?), so there's at least that. :D

I miss my mother. And even my stepdad, sometimes. I'm afraid of talking to most other people. I've been thinking about moving back with them for a few months- I could transfer to another Walmart and save up some money. Without bills, I'd be able to help them out some too.
Not going to happen until at least January though (I'm sticking around for the bonus check at my Walmart, kthnx). We'll see if I'm still up for it by then.

One of my icons won first place at this week's
op_ic icontest! I was so surprised! I've gotten several of the Mod's Choice awards, and last time I got a third place, but never a first! On top of that, one of my other icons won for the Special Category (Best Crop), so I am pleased. ^_^

Because of the events of last year where the Walmart worked got trampled to death on Black Friday, Walmart will be open all day on Thanksgiving now. So we don't get half days off now.
Sometimes customers disgust me. In addition to the absolute horror of how selfish some of those people acted at that store when the poor guy died, now they get rewarded with having more time to shop. On top of that, we have to work with them longer while they're at their worst. WTF.

Watched Ice Age 3 finally. Ah, I loved the first one. None of the sequels have been on the same level, but at least they're still entertaining. As for this one- BUCK. He made the movie, I swear.
Manny: Just when exactly did you lose your mind?
Buck: About three months ago. I woke up married to a pineapple. An ugly pineapple. *sighs happily* But I loved her so...

I locked myself out of my house today. After having no luck picking the lock, I remembered that one of the windows was open and decided to try and open it. Unfortunately, as I was pushing up against it, I stumbled and ended up breaking the glass and cutting myself open while I was at it. It's very annoying to have your hands covered in blood and no way to wash them off for an hour. Besides how much colder they get in this weather, it's worse when you're trying very hard not to get blood all over your neighbor's door.
I cleaned it as best as I could though, and I have some nice thick bandaids. It was only a tiny cut, just deep and fairly wide. If I don't keep the bandaids on, whenever I go to grab something it splits right back open and that is getting really annoying really fast. If it doesn't stop doing that by tomorrow I'm just going to superglue it.
Also, the broken window sucks and will probably cost more than a locksmith would have (fifty bucks). I AM BROKE. I have to call the landlord tomorrow, but I'm hoping he'll let me wait until I get paid next to do it.
Since everyone kept yelling about how awful HP is, I picked up a Toshiba. I like it for the most part- it is running nicely, and I can view things properly again. But with every new computer comes the part I hate- customizing the screen to look just how I want it to. Because every computer just has to be so damn different, yet they always seem to come with default settings designed to piss me off. >.<
I've fixed most of it by now, but there's just one part I can't seem to figure out. And I'm not sure whether it lies with Toshiba or just Windows 7. But the screen resolution? Yeah. It sucks. No matter what changes I make to it, everything I view looks a little squished. I've trained myself to cope with it, but there's one site that it's so much more glaringly obvious in that I can't. This site would of course be livejournal. Or more specifically- the icons on livejournal.
Remember what I said about squished? This is exactly what happens to a 100x100 pixel icon. Instead of looking like a square, it's rectangular. Not drastically so, but it's obvious it's a littler taller than it is wide. As an iconmaker, I find this nightmarish. This messes with the whole damn presentation in my eyes- and while it may come out the right size to anyone else who sees it on the Internet, it effects the way I make it. Cropping is also going to take a lot of guesswork now.
So does anyone know how to fix this? I've changed about every display option I've seen, and I'm barely making an impact. At this rate I'm wondering if I should've just sent the other laptop to be fixed after all (say what you will about HP, so far that one was my favorite). I could've borrowed the old one back from my parents in the mean time.
Eh. Maybe I'll do that when I have the money to afford it. And it can't hurt having a spare, can it?
Anyways, must get ready for work. Youtube Friday, guys! You know those silly iPod commercials? Well here's one that doesn't suck. Shocking, yes?
I can't begin to describe how much I hate today. Work was more awful than I expected- customers would not leave me alone and things kept on breaking. Not even kidding. I cleaned up salsa and before I could finish there, someone broke a bottle of wine fifteen feet away from me.
My pants ripped so I went home to get my only other pair. Ten minutes before it was time to go home, I was picking paint out of a bin and one of the buckets fell and hit me in the back of my neck on its way down (still hurts- kinda sucks). It broke and splattered all over the back of my pants (once again, last pair).
You'd think it'd be safe once I got home, but apparently this too was not to be. As I was getting ready for bed, I accidentally knocked over my laptop and now the screen is all messed up. I talked with a tech support guy for about two hours- he was very nice (spelling could use some work, though) and we eventually determined that it was in fact the hardware that was damaged. It would cost about $400 to fix it.
(head desk) That's money I should be saving. I'm only just now managing to save again and the thought of having to blow it so quickly frustrates me. But dealing with this for too much longer simply isn't an option- it's very difficult to view some sites including the billing ones, and seeing as none besides the water bill can be paid off the web, a new computer is required.
But... dammit. I need to save. Knowing my luck, some large catastrophe will happen to me right after I buy a new one and I won't have enough money left to take care of myself.
(too stressed) (must not think) Screw this. I'm having a drink and then I'm going to bed.
While I was using my old laptop to find information to help me fix the new one, it died on me. I was highly frustrated, as I've never gotten around to backing that one up, and it's the one with all my music and TMNT episodes on it. Maybe if I fiddle around with it some more I can get it into safe mode and save some of it...
As for this laptop, yes it is working again. I gathered enough information to figure out how to restore it to factory settings, so now it's at least running again. However, now I have to get all of the other programs I had installed once more, which is of course a pain. The bigger pain though is the appearance- I remember when I first got this laptop, I didn't really like the original screen resolution and had toggled around with it until I got one I approved of. I must have pulled some other trick to get that though, because none of my other attempts are producing the result I want. Plus text looks really weird everywhere I go- way too small. Even when I change the DPI.
Ah well. At least I can use it again.
Huge truck last night. We practically killed ourselves only to be told 'Good job, now learn how to do it like this with two less people'. >.<
But we did do a good job. As big as it was, it's a miracle we were done before eight. After a little complaining from me, I even got two extra hands to help me do break packs (which now have to be done after the rest of the truck much to my irritation). Billy and Gary pulled pallets while Patrick, Aaron, and I sorted.
Oh yeah, did I mention Gary? He's an older guy that used to work grocery. He started working our shift a few weeks ago, but in a separate department. Sometimes he would help us, and he's a good worker.
Yesterday he was notified upon coming in to the store that he's no longer grocery and is now ICS.
...Yeah. Much as I appreciate the help? I'm not okay with that. One day he was grocery, the next he's unloading trucks. WTF, management?
Oh, who wants to hear some other exciting news? Corporate has eliminated the need for an ICS Lead on our shift. 'Cause you know... we're totally organized without one. >.< Instead, the assistant manager over us will function as a lead, despite the fact that he'll have a million other things to do and won't be in the backroom as much as a lead should be. The rest of us just kinda differ to each other...
Translated, unless some schedule changes take place, there will be no relief for me on Sundays and Mondays. (cries)
Despite all the suck, there have been some improvements. The assistant manager still irritates me in what he thinks is feasible at this point and what I call reality (he and Patrick refer to this as pessimism, but everyone else seems to agree with me). Nevertheless... we did things his way last night and we did get more done. I got to picks after break, which hasn't happened in two weeks, even. I think this also has a lot to do with people though- four of us know how to hustle and we were all there on the same day. Come Monday, you switch three of those people out with three who will not bust their asses and we have a whole different story.
Nevertheless, I'm being respectful and giving it a shot. He proved me wrong last night, after all. Plus it's only fair after he listened to me. That's another thing I like about him- the first time we did this was epic failure and I wrote out a long list of the flaws of it and some suggestions I had that might make it work better. To my surprise he agreed with all but one of them and put them in effect last night. Yayness. ^_^
...But like I said. Worn out. Twice the work does mean twice the effort, and I don't think he gets how taxing the original format of our job was on us to begin with. I thought I was getting over my being sick but noooo, I was sure proved wrong. Stupid coughing.
Well, my laptop has steadily been dying on me this past week. It took about two hours to open the Internet the other day. Figuring myself out of options, I started backing up my files with the plan of restoring the damn thing on my next day off.
Unfortunately, now it won't even start. I keep on ending up in a loop of it trying to repair itself, failing, and then restarting to try again.
ASDFGHJKL; I got all of the important stuff backed up, I think, but I made like ten icons last night that I was really proud of and which most likely I will have to make again. >.<
(sigh) Anyone know how to restore a laptop when it won't even start? I have my old one to use for the time being, but I'd forgotten how damn slow it is.
Oh yeah. Also? I have finally reached the point where all the good things I like about my job are meaningless in the face of how much I hate it right now. Seriously. The part of me that is impaired by my disorders was all for quitting last night, but in my time alone I've seemed to have developed some shred of foresight that pointed out how stupid that would be. I'll be making eight dollars come September. I have insurance. There's not really anywhere else to work in this town. Bills will still come in, and I'm a bit low on money right now because of that week I took off.
Still, I'm thinking about at least switching shifts. If either Billy or Aaron leave (as they both seem to be contemplating), I'm going to. Everyone I got along with well isn't here anymore, and I can't work with a bunch of people who irritate me more than amuse me. Not to knock on Donald and Patrick or anything, but it's not the same level of comraderie.
I think if it comes to that, I'll just ask to stay in my department, but go into the overnight shift for it. My first priority coming in would then be picks. I don't think I'd mind too badly working from ten to seven, actually. Plus I could work different days that way too. (keeps in mind)
Anyways, have a vid. :)
Anyone remember Teen Titans? I used to love that show. So this was an amusing surprise to see Youtube rec to me.
Today's truck was less than a 100o pieces and we had help. Feet, you aren't allowed to hurt me as much as you are over something like that. Save it for tomorrow with it's 2600 piece truck, okay?
...Seriously. How hard can it be to split a truck up? They could've put about six hundred pieces onto today's truck to even out tomorrow's load, you know?
Ah well. At least today was easy, though it seems we're permanently down to six ICS team members. I guess Paul returned while I was gone only to get hurt again. They have him people greeting right now (I'm surprised he hasn't killed any customers yet, actually), but it's very unlikely he'll be returning to us. ;_;
Better yet, Billy's officially on his new three-days-a-week schedule. He's told management that if they make him lead, he'll be able to quit his other job and work full time here, but they seem fairly content with just having him in charge without the actual title.
To get to the point- this means that unless this changes, I am permanently in charge of our team on Sundays and Wednesdays. ...Yay responsibility? What am I saying- responsibility freaking sucks when you can't get anything done. >.<
Er, despite my complaining, again I state that today was a good day. Because inventory happened a few days ago, picks have been really high, so the lady who works in softlines (I usually do her picks) was estatic to see me- so much so that she even hugged me. The assistant manager was also happy to see me back and called me the 'Pick All-Star' in front of several people.
I should not beam like an idiot for being the best at a relatively simple task. It's basically a combination of a treasure hunt and matching game, only a level up. Once you learn how to work the devices we use and get used to how the bins work, it's really easy.
Heheh... okay. So perhaps I make it an art form. (let's praise go to head)
Topic change ahoy!
I come home from work to find my net problem has worsened. This is irritating because the past few days it was actually getting better. Now, however, I am having a lot of difficulty simply opening Internet Explorer. It took me thirty minutes this time!
I did start running a full scan on my computer courtesy of Microsoft, but it's taking a really long time. I'm at fifteen percent and it's been running for three hours. I was thinking about leaving my computer on to let it finish, but I don't know what good it will do. I searched a little more and wound up stumbling upon a forum where a guy has what appears to be the exact same problem. The only difference I can see actually is that he has XP and I have Vista.
Thing is, he's an IT guy. And the person trying to help him seems to really know their computer stuff. Therefore the following conversation they have makes no sense whatsoever to me. Worse yet, despite all of this the problem doesn't seem to have been resolved yet either.
I think someone should make a magic fix everything button.
I'm home again. Seems like I wasn't gone very long at all, though, much to my disappointment.
I learned a lot at the convention though. In all of the years I've attended, the speakers have never been quite as direct as they were this time. I find this very interesting...
Needless to say, it made an impact. I've been fairly inactive lately in my religious activities, and I was a bit ashamed with myself when I was there. A lot of the subjects hit close to home. I'm going to try and take this a bit more seriously.
And speaking of that- I would like to talk more about my religion here on this journal, but I understand some people on my flist don't really care for these kinds of things. So I plan on making a filter. If you wouldn't mind hearing about it, or would even like to, just tell me. Likewise, if you really would prefer not to be included, go ahead and tell me. ^_^
And just in case anyone needs to be reminded- yes, I am a Jehovah's Witness.
Anyways... I have to go back to work. UGH. My body is already calling me various names for this. I'm imagining that though the rest of me doesn't think it's been long, my body is going to say otherwise tonight. ;_;
Oh yeah- before I go. Are there any Internet security savy people in the house? My nets seems to have picked up a browser hijacker, and it's rather annoying. Thus far my attempts in fixing it have more or less failed.
Today wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Then again, since I had to cut my overtime and thus go home nearly two hours early, I guess that's to be expected. ^_^
But life is already getting back at me for it. Tomorrow's truck is a good five hundred pieces more than today's was. And this time we'll only have three people. O_O;
Lastly, my laptop is dying. Recently it fell when I had it plugged in and the connection broke off. Was a pain in the butt to get it out. At first I thought it'd be fine since I could just use the AC adapter from my old laptop, but I'd forgotten how messed up that one was. Very unreliable... and a little unsafe.
So I bought a new one today. Unfortunately I didn't realize until I'd gotten it home that someone had already opened the thing and stolen a piece. So I went back to the old one until I could return it tomorrow.
Turns out it was already on it's last leg. Zapped my toe a few minutes ago. >.< And now the battery is quickly dwindling away- even on the power saver option. Rargh. Hopefully I'll get a working AC adapter soon.
Also... there needs to be way more Deadpool love. Like seriously. You can't even call it a fandom- it's more like a decent sized and loveable cult. There's a serious lack of decent fanfiction/vids/art/EVERYTHING.
BUT Hot Topic does have a Deadpool t-shirt. Victory is mine!
Looks as if I'll be spending the whole week up here this time. I thought I was going home for my day off to kinda pack up some things, but it seems like that's only going to happen if my stepdad can come up, and he's not sure if he can at the moment.
So for the mean time, I have a good majority of the essentials here at grandma's. That basically includes my laptop, the net, and work clothes. XD
Oh. And M&M's. 'Cause like, they're the awesome. :D
After the assembly today I hitched a ride back here with my grandma. Before that though, we went out to eat at this buffet with my great-aunt and uncle and my dad and the kids. My aunt had pictures of my cousin's new baby- so cute. I probably won't see him though for a while, unless they come down for a visit. My other cousin is due soon as well, so I hope to see pictures of her baby too.
It was decent enough at dinner. My siblings are so freaking funny. XD They had some chicken they weren't too happy with, because the sauce made it slimy. They tried to wipe it down but to no avail. At one point my sister complained about this.
Brother: Just do what I do and try and eat it without touching it.
He proceeded to demonstrate this by putting his face into the plate and chewing on the chicken. XD
It was nice seeing them again. ^_^ They're such sweet kids.
And now for the dragon! Heh- it's got its wings! Another male. (headdesk) I need another girl- my Skywing refuses to breed.

Well, things kinda got hectic. I'm currently at my grandmother's place again. My stepdad had a lot of work today, so he had to drop me off. Grandma took me to my drug test, and we're going to meet him tomorrow, at which point he'll take me to my doctor appointment.
Rargh. Craziness. XD
For starters with the drug test... well, it could've gone better, I think. I uh... >.> Wasn't aware I needed to go to the bathroom until it came time to provide the sample. >.< So embarrassing! Glad it's done with.
And while I have never taken drugs, I still worry about it. Like- will prescriptions I had a few weeks ago show up? What about certain foods? Could any of that prevent me from getting hired? Ack- I'm just so worried! I have to get this job. I'll never get out on my own without it.
I'm still waiting for my grandma to come in here and start up with the 'rules' for my staying with them. Has to be discussed at some point, so I'm surprised we haven't already. :/
Anyways, later we actually went back to that Wal*Mart to get a few things. And while I was there... well, I decided what the hell. I treated myself. Or rather, my laptop. XD I bought a cooling pad for it, as well as some compressed air. Also got a USB cord for my printer. (pets technology) I spoil it. Ya know- in hopes it'll behave.
All righty then. I think I actually need to go fill out those forms for my doctor visit tomorrow. Bit important. Maybe when I get home tomorrow I'll work some more on the Fanfic Certificates. R.R. Ten'ou at Stealthy Stories got the design to me, and I have four categories done. Those I IM on a regular basis will get theirs via AIM. If I know you on LJ, you'll probably get a heads up from me when yours is done. If I can find your email, I'll email them to you. If not, I can PM you on some forum or another. I should be able to find everyone, I think. ...I hope. O.o
Let's start with the bad:
1. Had to camp with siblings
2. Had to camp with people I didn't know
3. Grandparents brought one of my more particularily annoying cousins
4. They also brought their dog, which is about three times worse >.<
5. The other group brought two dogs, both of which were rather large and drooled
6. The first day was extremely hot
7. Our tent provided no relief from the weather- in fact, worsening it
8. I have a huge mosquito bite (in an area where many of them carry West Nile)
9. The nights were very, very cold (see issue #7)
10. I couldn't warm up at all last night
11. In the time spent up there, I got seven hours of sleep
12. My ankle is swollen
Good things:
1. I learned a fun dice game called Greed
2. I had booze (Mike's Hard Limeade)
As to the booze- there's not much alcohol in it, so I didn't even get buzzed. It was yummy, though. I enjoyed it. When I'm legal, I think I'll get some. :D
To elaborate on last night, I gotta say it was the strangest thing. See, I love the cold. Adore it. I'm comfortable around sixty degrees and can barely stand seventy.
The first night camping, I wore a t-shirt and jeans to bed. It was cold, but I eventually slept. Last night, I wore jeans again, but two shirts- a short-sleeved over a long-sleeved. I even wore socks and had two blankets. But I could not get warm. My grandma and I shared an air mattress, and later that night I was pressed as close to her as I could get to be warm to no avail. I eventually started shivering and she was concerned for me, so she gave me one of her sweatshirts and told me to put my jacket on. We switched places and she made sure to keep me warm.
For a while there, I was. But within the next hour, I kept getting colder and colder. My arms, hands, legs, and feet were the worst. I started shivering again and tried to wrap the blankets back around myself but they weren't even warm anymore! They were colder than me!
At this point, my grandma decided that I had to go to the pickup. We turned on the heater and I slept in there. Kept waking up though. But I did keep fairly warm for the most part.
Very unpleasant experience. I still have no idea what happened. O.o
Anyways, so I returned today. To more bad news. I started up my laptop, and it wasn't five minutes later where the sound stopped working. I updated the driver and shut it down. When I restarted it, I eventually had my sound back, which is a major relief. However, the icon for it in the task bar is gone and I can't get it back no matter what I do. It's driving me nuts. >.<
I'll have to worry about it later. I need to prepare for my interview tomorrow. Anyways- that's the update on me! Good to be home.
Don't know why that song popped in my head.
Anyways, turns out we're leaving for Portland a bit early- today instead of tomorrow. We still have a lot to do before we go- I alone must journey to Wal*Mart, the bank, Lane Bryant, and Best Buy (perhaps they have the prodigal Auto Adapter!).
If I can get that auto adapter, I'll be able to do much on the road trip. Get a lot of writing done and such. I want to finish up that Casey audition, as well as work on Cork, Shadows of the End (Round Robin at SS), and a trope meme that
So I'll see you all again on Monday night, hopefully! Bye!
So I thought I might order one from Wal*Mart. They don't have one.
So then I thought I'd get an adapter to use in the car. Found one online at walmart.com, but thought I'd walk down to the store and make sure they didn't have it there or something before buying it there.
I found it, and was highly pleased. Got home, and realized what I bought was the same thing, but without the car adapter. (headdesk)
Thankfully, I can take it back. But I don't think I'll be able to use my laptop in the car now. (sigh)
Well, I have at last gotten my computer back! (huggles computer) Okay, so I actually wasn't gone as long as I thought I'd be. But it felt like forever!
So glad to have it working again! :)
Before I fill everyone in on what I've been up to, let's take a look at my checklists!
For things I thought would happen:
1. At least six of my favorite stories will be updated.
Absence by Delia Ra'Nar (twice!)
Betrayal by Moonlight by eldarsevenstar
Send in the Clowns by Kallasilya (twice!)
Alphabet Soup by calliopechild (new!)
Broken Shells by winged-monkey
That was nearly six! ^_^ And if we count the double updates, there's seven updates there!
So we'll make that a check. :)
2. MNT: Gaiden will be updated (and Leo will have a speaking part XD).
Check! Though Leo didn't have a speaking part. D:
3. One of my other favorite comics, which is over on dA, will be updated.
No to this one. ;_;
4. My favorite RP over at TT will develop further then the point I'd last read.
Another check here! :D Yay!
And now for the checklist for things I said I was going to do:
1. Weep over lack of net access.
Check.
2. Complete three days of job training.
Check!
3. Talk/see my dad (he doesn't live far from the training site- I may as well)
Nope. He didn't sound like he had the time to see me.
4. Start work.
Check. Though it's not going so great. ;_;
5. Finish my Casey audition for the TT RP.
Sorta check. :/ It's almost done!
6. Work on and/or finish my Fifty Sentence Prompt.
Check. Got like... two sentences done. XD
7. Work on and/or finish the next chapter of Cork.
Check. Finished one scene.
8. Work on and/or finish one of the Round Robins I'm overdue to post on.
No. >.>
9. Send a present off to someone. ;)
Check! :D And I got an email confirming he got it! Yay!
10. Talk on the phone longer in these next two weeks than I have in the last two months. XD
Yep. :D
Back to the stuff about my job. Yeah... it's not going so great for starters. Actually, if we're talking about me just doing it, I guess I'm not doing too bad. Everyone says I sound really great.
Haven't made too many appointments though. I've had four official ones (there's another that I kinda count as a fifth, seeing as someone showed up unexpectedly during my second one), but so far have only had one sale.
What sucks is that according to statistics, the average rep tends to make a sale with sixty percent of their appointments. When you get really low (about the range I'm at), they start to investigate you.
...Oh shit. I forgot to call in for the end of the day! O.O Eep! Hope I don't get in trouble. I didn't actually sell anything today either, quite sadly. :(
But other than that, it hasn't been too bad. I'm pretty grateful that we're starting out on people we know. If we hadn't, that first demo would've been just awful. >.< I did it for my mom. I was showing her how the chef knife works and ended up cutting my finger open. Was bleeding all over the place. Had that been with someone I didn't know? Can we say 'Goodbye, sale!'
Anyways- yeah. It's been pretty tiring. Though I am grateful just to have a job. :)
And yay! Internet! So happy to be back, even if it's only for a bit. ^_^
Don't know how long it will take to get my laptop back. I sent it on Monday, and when I came here yesterday and checked on it's status, it still hadn't arrived. Made me quite worried. But I checked my email again just now and they finally got it. So weird. I had next day shipping. O.o Oh well.
Today was my first day in job training. I can't believe it- out of the entire group I was interviewed with, I didn't see anyone else there. Makes me feel... special.
There are thirty-four other people in the class. Tomorrow, we're going to be using the Cutco knives ourselves- including cutting a coconut open with a cleaver!
All in all, it was a pretty good day. We went over a lot in the manual. I learned how freaking nasty knives with wood handles are. Seriously- stop using them. Because they're pourous, they absorb everything they come into contact with. Your knife handle touches a chicken you're cutting? Salmonella stays in the handle. Washing your dishes? All of that dirty water, with all of the bacteria floating around in, stays in the handle. So gross.
One bad thing- we had no lunch break. >.< I went nearly ten hours without food!
Still, having fun. Got to practice and stuff.
Oh yeah- I joined an Avatar rating community a few weeks ago. It's like the TMNT one, but with more characters. And lots of themes!
I've only been stamped on my original one so far. Got Toph. :) I kinda thought I'd get Sokka, but I can see why I got Toph. She's my favorite too, which is cool.
Then I moved on to the Antagonist Theme. It's going... pretty strangely, I'll say.
So far, I've gotten three votes. Let's save the most popular for last.
We have one vote for Koh- he's the face-stealing spirit from the first season. I can sorta see it, when you take in other personality traits.
I have a few for Mai. Actually, a lot of people are like 'I see some Mai in you, but I think this person fits you better'. The ones who have voted me for Mai have a really great reason, in that she's a little more mellow then the other character.
Most popular and surprising vote thus far? Azula. I know. Weird, huh?
But I went back and looked at some of my answers and... well, I think I too see some Azula. O.O
Here's my application if you want to see for yourself.
Anyways, I'm also doing the Minor Character Theme. Seems like a nearly unanimous Professor Zei (from The Library episode), though there was one for The Mechanist.
If you want to join, it's pretty fun. :D I like it. Though it is a pretty big community- a lot of applications need votes.
Anyways, I better get back to studying! See you soon, hopefully!
The last one I had seen was the second chibi page, where Raph stomped on Splinter's tail. There were several in between, I found.
So you guys were all squeeing over that shot of Leo? It all makes sense now! Bwahahaha!
Oh- and that shot was awesome. Oh yeah- I'm so framing it. XD
All right, so this will be my last post for a little while until I get my computer back. :( It's almost noon now, so I better pack it up.
I keep on making excuses to keep it a little longer. Like 'Once you get used to it, it's not that hard to use a laptop without a functioning monitor'.
...Yeah. It's about at that point that earth!logic sets in. XD
Anyways, I'll try to get down to Wal*Mart every now and then and borrow their bank's computer. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the place where I'm doing my job training at has some computers. If they do, I'll only use them sparingly. If any of you knew me when I was still going to public high school, then you know how bad of an idea it'd be for me to even think about using them as much as I did then. I assume we'll be getting lunch breaks. If they have computers, and if we get said breaks, I may borrow a computer for a few minutes or something.
But really, I'm going to try and be the good employee and be focused on the job. :D I can do it. I know I can. and when I get my computer back, all will be well again.
Heh... I can already imagine what's going to happen while I'm gone. Let's make a checklist! See how much of these things will actually happen when I get back.
1. At least six of my favorite stories will be updated.
2. MNT: Gaiden will be updated (and Leo will have a speaking part XD).
3. One of my other favorite comics, which is over on dA, will be updated.
4. My favorite RP over at TT will develop further then the point I'd last read.
I really don't mind if any or all of these things happen. Gives me something to look forward to, actually! :) I just will find it so ironic if all of the things I have been waiting for actually do happen.
Now for a checklist of things I'm going to do while I'm gone!
1. Weep over lack of net access.
2. Complete three days of job training.
3. Talk/see my dad (he doesn't live far from the training site- I may as well)
4. Start work.
5. Finish my casey audition for the TT RP.
6. Work on and/or finish my Fifty Sentence Prompt.
7. Work on and/or finish the next chapter of Cork.
8. Work on and/or finish one of the Round Robins I'm overdue to post on.
9. Send a present off to someone. ;)
10. Talk on the phone longer in these next two weeks than I have in the last two months. XD
Heheh... considering I spend maybe, three to five minutes on the phone a day, usually when family calls, I think that last one will be a guarantee. ...As will the first one. >.>
....Can you tell I'm stalling? I don't want to gooooooo! ;_; (weeps)
Alas- but I must. Fairwell!
Oh well. Gives me a little more time with my computer! :D
Heh. I think I did something wrong last night when I was backing up my music. Because now when I try and open iTunes, nothing's there! O.O
I'm not worrying about it right now, though. If my hard drive is wiped or replaced, I'll have to fix it again anyways, so I might as well just wait to see what happens.
Oh by the way! We get to keep Angel! :) She's such a sweet kitty. And Klunk is really getting along with her better now! I need a card reader- I should take picture of them.
Firstly, the box for my computer came today. Well, I guess it's still sucky news that my laptop is broken. Though I am kinda getting used to working with it! Anyways, as soon as I have my files backed up, I'll send it off. May take a while. I don't have enough room for it all, so I'm having to email my self much of it.
I'm just happy it came nice and soon. :D Hopefully, it'll be repaired quickly.
Anyways, now for the really awesome news! Prepare yourselves.
I got a job!
Isn't it great? I'm so happy! XD
And I was wrong before- it's $14.50 base pay. That means I get paid that much no matter what. I'll be selling Cutco products, and it's by appointment only. So each appointment is worth the base pay. If I sell a lot, I get paid even more!
So I have job training next week. Wow. Three long days of it too. O.O Maybe it's a good thing my laptop broke when it did (if it had to, anyways). I'll actually have stuff to do now at least.
I need to find a way to get up there- it's in a different town. After the training though, I can work back in my own territory, which is cool. And even set my own hours- which is better!
Just thought I'd share the news. :D
Anyways, I'm off to finish backing things up! Later! I may be able to make one more post before i pack my laptop up and ship it!
I was on the computer last night, doing my regular day to day things. And then the monitor started flickering and then went black completely. Grr...
So yeah. I can only see anything on the computer if I lay it as flat as possible under direct light. And if I look really closely.
Oh, I am so ticked.
I called HP today. Looks like I'm going to have to send it in. >.< Great! So this means I'll be without net access for a little over a week, most likely. The woman I talked to said they'd send the box in two days, so I have until then to backup my files.
Yeah- can you say 'Oh shit'? Besides the fact that I have no money for something to back them up on, I'm assuming this is going to be a difficult task when I can't even freaking see what I'm backing up!
(headdesk) This plain sucks.
Stupid computer. I was processing another DVD through AutoGK, right? Started at a decent hour. It was a little over halfway through the first pass.
And then my computer freezes.
Four hours of work. All down the drain.
And now it's too late to start over. I'll have to wait until tomorrow. (more weeping)
Stupid computer. >.<
