Muah. Here's all of the little things that have slipped any previous posts by my own forgetfulness. I shall try and keep them short, for fear of having an entry that can be wrapped around the middle of the world.

Thoughts on new co-workers:

I've known Patrick since starting at Wal*Mart. Uber nice guy- he was a cashier before this. Working with him more now is kinda weird though... but in a good way. Sorta. It's actually really hard to describe. In short, I've never met someone as sincerely happy as he is. The guy's never down, even when he says he's bummed about something. The glass isn't just full with him, it's like full of liquid sunshine and rainbows. Someone asked him yesterday where he gets all of his energy from and I kid you not, his answer was 'happiness'.

...Poor guy gets thrown into the ICS. The rest of us don't 'do' happy. XD

Anyways, worked with Jesse a few times before. He was also a cashier. Working with him for the past few weeks has given me enormous respect for him. He's everything I've wanted back there since forever. He's very pleasant to work with, and very attentive. In the first few days, whenever he was attempting something, he'd ask if it was right, or if I had any suggestions- all kinds of stuff. He's great at stacking and is already starting to get into the groove of how we behave around one another. Example from yesterday yet again, when Billy was getting some pallets down for everyone when we were doing picks:

Billy: Which pallet do you need, little girl?
Jesse: 24B- B as in 'bigmouth'.

Last Wednesday I woke up to my cell ringing. I answered it and was informed by my grandma that I needed to be ready for her to pick me up in an hour as she'd signed me up for driver's training.

Yeah. I wtf'ed.

Anyways, went down to the DMV. Lady there is a bitch. I have to take the test for my permit again on Tuesday, and apparently I need an ID that was issued to me in 2004 to get it. What the hell? I never needed that thing for my last permit. Secondly, it would look nothing like me anymore with five years passed. And lastly- no one knows where it is. Ugh. Hope she isn't there when tomorrow.

But yeah. After that affair I went down to the high school and had to sit in a room with thirty other high school brats. Oy, it was painful. Good reminder for why I ended up home schooling myself. But I do appear to be getting special treatment. Schedules were handed out later in the day showing when classes are (my days off, out of luck) and when the driving groups will be driving. These groups don't tend to be on a Tuesday or Wednesday, and are actually split up all over the place. I went to talk to her later to point out that thosedays with those times wouldn't work for me no matter which driving group I was in, and found out she was making an exception for me due to work. I just get to drive with whoever. XD

One thing I'm not very pleased with though is the bill. Not nice to learn that I have to fork up $145 an hour after waking.

Am going to visit mom Tuesday after driver's ed. Will be staying up there until Thursday, when my stepdad will bring me home before work. He's also picking me up. Translation: I have between when I get off work until then to get the house looking decent. (FEAR)

Operation: Birthday was a partial success. The people who threatened me with songs and the like were mostly avoided. Found out later that Billy had convinced them that the best way to grant my 'birthday wish' would be to not do the birthday things. Was rather grateful.

Later however, my birthday was again announced- this time at the overnight meeting (which we missed due to the arrival of a frozen truck). Later, when I was taking out other pallets on the grocery side, someone noticed me and said happy birthday. This alerted everyone else there that I was in the vicinity, upon which they all came out one by one to say it as well. XD

Later:

Pi: (embarassed) Thank you.
Aaron: Waitasec. How come you don't get mad at them when they say it, but you bite our heads off?
Pi: Because you know better.
Billy: Oh what the hell.

-

Same day Billy said something interesting to me.

Billy: You know it's not a big deal if someone wants to do something for your birthday. It's actually kind of a nice thing. It makes you feel appreciated by your friends.

I've spent the last several years under the impression that I have no friends (in real life). Well, one friend... but she's still away in the Dominican Republic. It's gotten to the point where I really can't remember just how people become friends. Is it really that simple? I still find it all confusing.

-

Jen is back from vacation. She is a million shades of awesome. Twice in a row now, I have been chosen to sort break packs andscan electronics over Kathy. Pure win.

Best thing is that Kathy's throwing a fit over it. That's supposedly 'her thing', and she was never happy when I was even asked to help her at times after she learned I do it too. She's been really nasty lately, but I could care less. MUAH. I win.

-

Twice now, happy news completely unrelated to me has made me have brief moments of emo. I don't think this says anything nice about my character.

-

I've started playing Bishop over at TT officially.  It's oresome. XD

Technically, as I work until one in the morning, this operation actually started last night when war was officially declared.

You see, it's a big deal in Wal*Mart if it's your birthday. Because everybody will somehow find out and the majority of the ones you bump into will let you know it. I don't mind someone telling me 'happy birthday', because it only seems kind to me to at least acknowledge it with others. I actually like seeing people remember it too. In very recent years, I've gotten little fanfics and fanarts around this time and decided in the end that these are all right too. I accept gifts any other time of the year, so the day of my birth should be no different. And as they were made more for me as opposed to my birthday, I've often viewed them as all right (in school as a child, I would decline a lot of present or treat stuffs kids do because of this).

Nevertheless, I don't celebrate in the traditional way people celebrate their own. And it's never really been a problem up until now.

There were people who knew what my birthday was (as these things pop up in random conversations) previously. Unfortunately, a couple of these people are adamant about having the typical way of celebrating and are adamant about getting me involved.

The first would be a friend of the ICS team (people who come help us unload the truck are considered friends and are usually a cashier, HBA, Dairy, or Garden associate) from HBA. She seems to remember everyone's birthday. Anyways, I've been threatened with a 'Happy Birthday' song by her along with other things. My only option is to avoid her for the whole day. ...Not an easy task, as with so few of us tonight (with people having asked for days off) that we're likely going to need help. >.<

The other person is Billy, who mainly seems to be in this for annoying me because he knows what I'm trying to do. Little butt. It is he who started the operation prematurely last night.

(in the breakroom after being told I'm getting the Happy Birthday song)
Billy: Oh yeah, it's your birthday tomorrow. Haha! You're so screwed.
Pi: (glare) Only a few people know- it's not that bad.
Billy: (looks around the room) HEY EVERYBODY! IT'S HER BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!
Pi: RARGH (throws a water bottle at his head)

The second time was at the meeting. I was sitting down listening to the assistant manager make some announcements when I noticed Billy, who kept looking at me as if trying to make sure I was noticing this, talking to the support manager.

Pi: You better not have... (is pretty sure he's started by this point) Shut. Up.
Billy: (grin)
Support Manager: (grin) Too late.

The last time was when Billy was heading out (he leaves an hour earlier than us on the weekdays). He said goodbye to everyone and then left to clock out and stuff. In the meantime, the rest of us were picking merchandise. So I'm getting a microwave down a few minutes later when this happens:

Assistant Manager: (over the intercom) Attention all associates, attention all associates. Everyone be sure to wish Tiara in ICS a happy birthday!
Pi: Nooooooooooooo! (bangs head)
Paul: HA. (had this treatment a couple of months ago) So what are you now- thirteen?
Pi: Oh shut up. (is continued to be laughed it)
Billy: (comes back into the room laughing)
Pi: You SUCK. (death glare)
Billy: Have a good niiiiiiiiight.

In all technicality, Billy shouldn't be here tomorrow. He originally had two weeks of leave scheduled off because his pregnant girlfriend was supposed to come down around this time. However, her doctor scheduled a biopsy (she has a tumor) so now she isn't coming. Nevertheless, he was considering still taking the time off and hadn't yet decided if he's coming in or not tomorrow.

If he's not there, that's at least one less person I have to worry about. Though I'm kinda still hoping he's there otherwise we'll only have four people to unload the truck (sniffle).

Anyways, so with the exception of those I must work directly with, I just need to avoid everyone else! I can do that... I think.

Well, I've been a bit busy lately. I'd meant to post something on my birthday last Friday, but got a bit distracted.

I feel like I should turn eighteen more often LOL. I've never gotten such a response! Everyone was so nice- I got a Gift Art from both my friend Dis, as well as my friend Sandy. Sewer Slider actually wrote me a story (Leo? Leather? Shades and glassesA motorcycle? Can we say Pi is a happy camper?).

And my good friends at another forum, which I will call TT as we're trying to keep it a bit more private, completely put the icing on the cake for me. Just about everyone of them dropped in and said hello. Donny's Boy made me an awesome Leo picture (Caption: Now that your legal- Come to daddy. XD), and Winny gave me a sneak peak at a comic she's doing. What REALLY did me in though was when Leo (this site has an amazing RPG and there are accounts made for these characters) dropped in to wish me a happy birthday. I got to go on a 'date' with him. Oh, I nearly died!

Even though I don't celebrate birthdays due to my religion, that was the best one ever. I haven't felt so appreciated in a long time.

Anyways, my abnormal good luck on my b-day (I had my first ever job interview that day, and the comic I'd been waiting for came back into stock) didn't last into the weekend. I didn't get the job, and then I had to reorder that comic because the one I'd originally ordered turned out to be damaged (really nice of the guys to tell me that, though- the other company I once ordered from just didn't send it).

I'm also trying to get into making TMNT AMV's. Talk about difficult! Luckily, I had my friend Sparrowskit to help me out. She talked me through some programs to download that helped my decrypt and then rip the TMNT movie. Unfortunately, after so many horus of waiting, I couldn't use any of it because the DEP on my computer wouldn't let me import anything into Windows Movie Maker. I spent hours trying to find a solution with no luck.

Next, I decided to download the torrents for the cartoon. I heard they work with WMM, so I was eager to. Unfortunately, it's taking forever. It's been over twenty-four hours since I began and I only have fifteen percent done. (sighs)

The good news though, Sparrow spent a bunch of time trying to find out how to get WMM to work for me. She did what I couldn't! Though it surprised her too when it worked. All I had to do was go to this website that updates the codes for Windows and stuff and it worked! I'm now in the process of working on my first AMV.

All of my Raph-fan friends must be getting to me. It's focused on him. LOL Though if I had those TMNT episodes by now, I'd be working on my Leo one instead.

In other news, my baby sister turned three today. Er... I guess it was yesterday, actually. I'm up late. LOL But man, do I miss her.
