Today wasn't quite as grand as I'd been hoping. Went to my orthodontist appointment. Everyone remember my plan to just wear my retainer at night? Heheh- lovely reminder that why yes, I do still have my moments of brilliance in which I prove my way works just as good.

His exact words and here I quote: "You're teeth are looking pretty straight. Good to see you're wearing your retainer full-time."

Then he fixed the wire a little where I'd bent it and gave me an appointment for three months down the line. I call that win for me. ^_^

So afterwards, we went to see the movie. I've seen so many mixed reviews over it. It's been burned by critics but hailed by a lot of people I know.

As for me? Well... it broke about even. XD

You know what my father was? A wheel! The first wheel! And do you know what he transformed into? Nothing! But he did it with honor! )
Movie spoilers out of the way, did anyone else see the trailer for The Last Airbender? So far as trailers go, it was pretty unremarkable, but I still found it very interesting. First time I've seen the Aang actor, in any case, and as much as this movie will suffer from race!fail, I was imagining worse. Doesn't excuse it at all, of course, but whatever. If anyone knows me, you will know that when it comes to fiction or movies, etc. I tend to be rather forgiving.

Seriously. If I can get over what they did to Deadpool if the Wolverine movie to plan on watching it again, then this too shall pass for me. Eventually.

Moving on- I'm officially broke. Three important non-comic related transactions cleared days earlier than they should have and now I'm twenty-five bucks in the hole. Yes, I'm taking this as a lesson to spend more wisely. I even drew up a budget! Every month, I should have about two hundred and fifty dollars left over after expenses, and I plan to put at least two hundred or so away for savings from now on.

All I have to do is keep myself from not spending it. To do this, I decided to get a PayPal account. Makes no sense, but allow me to explain.

My basic fault thus far when it comes to buying comics has been my fear of being able to find particular issues again if I don't purchase certain ones as soon as they become available. Some of these ones are actually really hard to find, you know, and when they pop up they're usually bought just as quickly.

Unless you're on eBay. Just about everything's on eBay.

So... I've convinced myself that now that I actually have PayPal, should I ever need certain issues, I can now wait to buy them until I can actually afford them. And thus in theory control my spending, especially considering as I don't haunt eBay like I do other sites.

Crossing my fingers on this one. In the mean time, I get paid tomorrow and as I only went overdrawn less than a few hours ago, I'm hoping that if I deposit my paycheck before a whole day is even up they'll be more forgiving when it comes to any fees I may have to pay.

My feet (and pretty much every other part of my body to some extent) and my job don't get along so well. We've been having a slew of large trucks lately with few people to unload them and it's been taking it's toll. I'd request some time off, but that just puts the rest of my co-workers into the same nasty position as we've been in lately. >.<

ICS is down to six people total at the moment. As mentioned before, Jesse has moved (still saddened by this ;_;), and I learned today that they let Michael go for his poor attendance. Kathy's been gone on remodel, but that one hasn't really affected us much as the rollers are of more contribution than she is. XD

She's supoosed to be coming back next month, but we're hearing rumors that she won't be ICS. Pretty much all of us are hoping they'll prove true.

Though that does leave us with a lot of spots to fill. While Kathy was useless, Jesse and Michael were great workers. Management has replaced one of them already with this really awesome guy who's helped us before named Donald, and he starts at the end of the month. We still need people though- at least one more, anyways.

Subject change ahoy! Read the newest Naruto chapter.

Oh hai there plot )

And now it's Youtube Friday. And look what I found! Episode nine of Avatar Abridged is here!

21 May 2009 @ 04:11 am

My days have been rather strange lately. First we have five days a week which completely wear me down to Pi-shaped jello but at least provide me with some form of social behavior. Then we have my two day weekend which provides me with the much needed relaxation (when I actually get it, mind you) but goes way too damn fast for me to relax, thus usually ends up consisting of me spending around thirty-two hours feeling generally very lonely and trying to make myself realize that I will always be this social recluse and should therefore just give up and admit it already.

This is the norm. I state it because the past two days (my weekend) deviated from this pattern, for the most part.

Started out basic enough. 'Cept this time I got to sleep in, which I haven't been able to do for a while because of driver's ed (I'm in the second class now, and therefore no longer have to repeat the classroom setting). Woke up, played around the house for a bit. And then I decided I wanted to treat myself. Do something nice outside the house, yatta yatta. So I called the local movie theatre to see what was playing.

Turns out one of the two movies was Star Trek, and I figured I should see it soon before someone at work spoiled it for me. Like my situation last time I tried to see a movie here, there was but one showtime. Conflicted with meeting schedules, but as I don't really skip those unless work has me so tired I can't move to get up and go, I figured it couldn't hurt.

Plans made, I then spent the next hour or so debating whether or not I should tell my Grandma. These kind of conversations can get rather irritating and I was in no mood for one. In the end though, I decided to call her. Only polite to let her know not to pick me up, right?

Sometimes I really hate having a conscience. Nine times out of ten, it leads me to doing something that should be the wise course of action  but actually just ends up with me very upset.

Naturally this was one of those times. Grandma was pissed, I was pissed with her accusations, and I looked like a schizo when I ranted about it to myself on the way to the theatre.

That wasn't the good part about my weekend. No worries- it got better this time.

As I'd left pretty early, before the movie I stopped in at a supply store. In the back they has baby ducks and chicks. They were all very fuzzy and cute and tiny and made me feel all warm inside. And that kinda set the mood.

Went to see Star Trek. It was made of awesome.

Spoilers: The Final Frontier! )
The trailers were also pretty sweet. Second time seeing the one for the new Transformers movie, and it continues to look awesome. I was surprised with the GI Joe one though. Man, I'm so behind! I had no idea that one was coming out so soon! It too looked really neat. :D

Anyways, went home and [info]ivy_chan gave me crossover goodness! This entry is long enough as is, so I'll explain my love for crossovers and provide links to each drabble she did tomorrow. Trust me though- they're brilliant.

Okay, so yeah. That was day one. I ended it in a much better mood. Relaxed, went to bed, etc.

Today I woke up earlier than I'd have liked, but I went out in service with my friend, her cousin, and his wife (they're a young couple, very nice). I went to a door with the cousin and met a very nice man who used to be a contractor. He'd bought this old house and was restoring it. We had a nice discussion with him, but it was kinda new for me. I think that was the first time I was ever invited so quickly into someone's home without anyone saying anything besides the fact that we're Jehovah's Witnesses. Exciting, but like with many other religious activities, it made me nervous. I think he could tell too. Gotta work on that. >.<

Still! Good experience!

When service was done, I went home for a bit but was actually invited with my friend to the aforementioned couple's home. They had barbecue chicken and homemade potato salad (I don't like potato salad usually. And I hate mustard, which this family uses a lot of. But holy crap, I'll be damned if tha wasn't the best potato salad I've ever had) and chips with homemade dip (cucumber and cream cheese- again, it was delicious). To top it off, my friend made apple pie from scratch while we were there. Oh my... so gooooood.

We ate it while watching one of the cousin's favorite movies, Galaxy Quest. I actually hadn't seen this movie for a very long time. I could only remember one part acutally, but I remember thinking the rest was really stupid. It wasn't, surprisingly. It was actually pretty damn funny! And ah- kindered spirits with the fanboys. XD

Nextly, I won this week's fic contest at [info]avatar_contest . I wasn't expecting it all so it was a pleasant surprise. I actually didn't post my fic here because I wasn't impressed by it, but since it won I will. Er... another thing I'll do tomorrow when I wake up. I is tired.

Last but not least for my good weekend- some of my Deadpool comics have finally shown up. I have read The Circle Chase, Sins of the Past, and the first issue of his 1997 solo series. I have the next nine issues plus an annual in another book, but I'm saving them for the rest of the week. Seriously though- this is love.

If anyone's interested, I've found scans of the first issue online. Say the word and I'll provide linkage.

Come onnnn. You know you want it. :D

Pfft
As you recall, I left for work early yesterday.

Hrm. Okay, wait. Get to that in a moment. Quick side story- On my way there, as I was feeling tremendously hungry, I stopped at the Moxie Java/TCBY for something to eat. I saw something called a Thriller Chiller and decided that looked good. I was very surprised when after the chocolate ice cream and Butterfingers I was asked if I wanted mocha or cappuchino in it. Ick- I no likey coffee. However, I wasn't about to waste it, so I went with mocha.

They put whipped cream and cinnamon on it and gave me a straw and a spoon. I think I died. It was soooo good. You could just barely taste the coffee in it. I'm already craving another one and think I'll stop by to get it later. :3

Anyways. Back to the important work stuff. >.>

So yeah. Got there about an hour early and first stopped by the Photo Center to talk to the department manager there. The lady who's leaving photo said she'd left a note for her saying I'd be coming in.

The third lady who works in photo was up there when I arrived and I asked her if she could tell me where the department manager was.

Photo Lady: Oh, she won't be back until Monday.
Pi: ... >.< Okay. I'll come back then.

So then I proceeded to look for the Assistant Manager who governs over the front end/electronics departments. She's the one who ultimately handles this stuff and such, and I knew she'd be there that day. It didn't take long to find her, and when she wasn't busy I asked her about the position.

Assistant Manager: I'm not hiring anyone for photo right now.
Pi: What about the associate that's leaving for the vision center? She told me you'd be looking for someone.
Assistant Manager: She was only part time, so I don't think I'll replace her.
Pi: ... (waits until she's out of sight) (facepalms)

All of that happened in about fifteen minutes, leaving me to wander the store until my shift started. I was rather peeved about that.
...But that Thriller Chiller totally made up for it. (loves on it)
So yeah. Won't be leaving the ICS anytime soon. And as there's still only one person there who pisses me off, I'll take that as a good thing.

Speaking of that person. Kathy was rather the bitch yesterday, as she tends to be when I'm asked to scan (Jen's back- yay!). She disappeared at one point to go to Pets to get some fish out for customers, but was gone for forty-five minutes to do it. I'm not even that slow. Translation: She was ranting to people after that.

We finished the truck before our first break, which is awesome. It was only a 1400 piece truck, but still- was sweet. Then we all went to break, at which point cupcakes were waiting for us. I don't like cupcakes, but everyone who ate them said they were really good. They had a lot of frosting on them, so watching Jesse eat was hilarious. Worried that he'd get chocolate on his face, he proceeded to eat his first cupcake in one bite.

Everyone: O_O
Pi: You still got choclate on your face.
Jesse: I know. Was a good cupcake though.
Jen: Might be better if, you know, you chew it.
Jesse: Oh shush!

He said he was only going to eat two, but he ate four. It was so funny to watch. He ate the rest normally, but he'd be like 'all right, one more can't hurt'. XD I love the guy. He's awesome.

After the fourth, he moved the box of cupcakes to another table after Aaron took one so he wouldn't be tempted anymore.

Aaron: (eating) Will you quit staring at my cupcake?! S'creepy.
Pi: (checks) OMG- you were staring at his cupcake!
Jesse: Ahh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!
Pi: XD Now I'm imagining it talking to you.
Jesse: (goes along with joke) Help me! Help me, Jesse! The hillbilly's eating me too slowly!
Aaron: That's it. I'm gonna eat this thing in slow motion now, just to piss you off.
Jesse: You guys are so mean! I'm never eating another cupcake again!
Pi: (has retrieved box of cupcakes and holds them out)

XD

Moving right along- read both the new Naruto and One Piece chapters.

Cut for slightly spoilerishness, I suppose )

So it has come to my attention that people are putting up Youtube vids on Fridays. Okay, I'll bite. :D

Have an Avatar fan trailer. Make sure to click the HD option!

<.<

So. I did it. I wrote my little ficlet and got it in before the deadline. Was late to work, but I did it. Muah!

Now to just see how it goes over. This is the longest thing I've written in months, so there's at least that. Also? First fic I've written that isn't a TMNT story. That's right- I went outside of my comfort zone fandom, and wrote an Avatar fic. ...About a minor character. What the hell. XD

Anyways, originally I was gonna have [info]whiteadelphi</lj> beta it for me before I put it up. It was written for a contest (at [info]avatar_contest</lj>), and I thought the deadline was Saturday. Figured that'd give me enough time to finish it and send it off to her before putting it up.

Then [info]ivy_chan</lj> informed me that no, the deadline was Friday.

Pi: O_O Oh shiiiiiit...

So yeah. Long story short, this is unbeta'd, and I don't know if it's any good or not. ^_^; I'm rusty, methinks.

P.S. I tried to give as many clues as possible to the identity of a certain person therein. 'Tis no one ever named in the series, but if you can't guess who just ask and I'll tell you. :)

I was kidding. Please do not consistently suck like this.

Seven people were scheduled to work today. This is how it turned out:

Glenn, as I've mentioned, no longer works for ICS. So he obviously wasn't there.

Michael had Guard duty.

Billy called in- something I wasn't surprised to hear considering how awful that truck was loaded yesterday and how many times he was hit by boxes.

Cheri, for some unknown reason, was given the day off by management.

So it basically all came down to Paul, Aaron, and I having to unload the truck. Thry got us help, but it was actually pretty crappy help... management told me to forget about break packs and work the line so I could tell everyone else what to do- still had to scan in electronics though. Got to be a real pain as we got an exceedingly large amount of items for that that had to go to lock up (meaning after scanning them they have to be set aside and can't go on the pallets)- as I was on the opposite side of the line I needed to be on to move those off the line, it was like double the work.

As I mentioned, 'twas crappy help too. So a lot of pallets melted down as we moved them.

(bangs head into wall) And it's only know coming to the nearly guaranteed worst days of my work week. I declare Fevruary to be made of fail.

However, the eight episode of Avatar: Abridged is up on Youtube. That cheered me up, even if it wasn't as funny in parts as I'd hoped. But that too is all right, seeing as my favorite Avatar AMV maker also put up a new video, and it was very, very pretty. Pretty enough that I must show it to you all.

Youtube has the neat little thingy now that lets you watch these things in HD. Looks much more awesome that way.

So I had a weird thought. Someone once asked me how in the Avatar universe people become members. Like, are they just born that way, if so, why can only some of them bend, etc.

I think I came up with an interesting solution.

All right- so let's say all of these people are born with some tie to whatever element. For example: As both Sokka and Katara are from the Water Tribe, let's say they both have something biological that is geared to said element.

Now, a lot of things in the Avatar universe have to do with nature and spirits and stuff. And each nation has a season: Water for Winter, Earth for Spring, Air for Autumn, and Fire for Summer.

So what I think is that benders are determined by when they're born. The bending element is strongest in it's select season, so the babies born in said season would maybe be affected a little different. Basically: a waterbender would have to have parents from the Water Tribe and be born in Winter.

It would explain some things. For example- we see more Earthbenders than anything, right? Well, most babies are just born in the Spring. So there'd naturally be more of them. Summer is next popular, meaning more firebenders. On another note, I could imagine the Royal Family planning pregnancies so all descendants become benders.

Again, this is just theory. But it was something I found interesting and though I'd share.

So in the past twenty-four hours, I've mostly been puking and sleeping. The rest of the time I've been looking up funny Avatar vids and chatting with people on AIM and plotting fic, icons, and AMV's.

I still plan to finish my audition by tomorrow. Definitely going to work on it. Due to illness, I may allow myself another day, but I don't want it to be that big of an excuse to not get anything done, you know?

Ugh. Too sore to write anything else that's meaningful. (collapse)

It is just so awesome watching the Avatar finale on a nice widescreen television. ^_^ Man, I love that show.

Well, I figure I need to make some more goals for my writing. I'm going to set August up for this in particular.

My Casey Audition has to be done by the ninth, but I want to shoot to finish it by the sixth or sooner.

My contribution to Shadows of the End needs to be done by the fourteenth... or I must join the Foot. ;_;

I would like the next chapter of Cork to be done before a special event we at TT are planning in which we flood FF.net with goodfic. However, as I don't know exactly when we'll be doing this, I am going to try and complete the next installment by the twenty-first.

And lastly, I would like to finish my trope fic before the end of the month.

(takes deep breath)

I can do at least two, can't I? (begs muses)

Heheh... Yeah, I know I said I'd be back with pictures of my collection. But we ran into some troubles.... Namely that I refuse to take said picture when my NECA Raph had a broken sai ;_;. I was trying to move it, and the handle broke off. But my stepdad is going to epoxy it for me soon.

Wal*Mart actually surprised me today. I got my Avatar DVD around ten in the morning. Look! They're not made of fail! XD

My family and I were a bit busy today, so we really couldn't watch it all. When we came back from Bookstudy though, we watched The Southern Raiders and The Ember Island Players. Cartoons do what very few other things can do for my family- be happy around each other while having a good time. Can't wait to watch the finale on the nice TV we have. ^_^

Well, things are still are still up in the air in regardsto whether or not they're moving. My stepdad isn't optimistic- says he thinks that guy is shopping around or something. If they do go, now it seems they won't be leaving until October.

Why October? Well, for our religion, we have two circuit assemblies and one district convention each year. They're all held in various places, but it just so happens that where our circuit usually meats for the assembly is in Idaho, so we don't travel far for those. There's one in May and one in October. At all of these events, there's usually a handful of people who get baptized. I've seen three of my younger cousins get baptized at one or the other, and now my sister has expressed desire to do so as well. My stepdad would like her to do it here in Idaho where so many of our family are.

A part of me is happy. After all, this gives me more time to get my life together and all. But another side of me is just sighing and going back to that envious sibling routine.

For this sister has been a thorn in my side for a long time. I can remember when I was six and mom was pregnant, and I came out crying because I thought that once the baby was born, everyone would love it more than me. And though I was promised that wouldn't be the case, it sure seemed like it. Everyone loved that kid- she's get passed around the Kingdom Hall and people would feed her at gatherings. I didn't really mind thugh until she got a little older.

I didn't start hating her in that sibling sort of way until she was one and I was seven. Mom had taken us grocery shopping and we had just gotten home. Back then, our car was a bit old. The backseat doors would get stuck a lot, so someone would always have to open mine for me for me to get out. Mom came and got the baby and said she'd be back for me. I waited for over an hour in that car and no one came.

Luckily, it was only Spring, so it wasn't like I was cooking. It was warm though, and I was getting annoyed with being in the car. I couldn't get out the passenger door because it wouldn't open far enough in that little garage. And I couldn't get the lock to the driver's door up with my fingers. So after sulking for a bit, I figured out I could roll down the windows and I climbed out through there.

I was so not happy when I got in there and found my mother and the baby playing. Mom had forgotten me- she thought I was outside playing. I yelled at her and screamed and was furious for most of the day. Partly at mom, but mostly at the baby. Because my mother remembered her... just not me.

Why do I tell you this story? Well, from this point on I couldn't stand my sister for the most part. She was cute, I wasn't all that much anymore. She was sweet and I could be a brat. She had both of her parents, and I kept on having to go back and forth.

As we got older, more things just came up. She got all of the attention. When my brother was born, he loved her more, even though I'd been the one to want a brother. She'd get noticed more for her hobbies while no one seemed to care about mine.

And she has a genuine drive for things concerning our religion. Whereas I just barely manage to hold on to what little willpower I have to continue with it.

It's not that I don't like being a Jehovah's Witness- because I actually do quite a bit. It's just I don't care much for religious practices. They don't interest me, even if I want them to. Talking to people about it makes me nervous, because I don't really care if they know. Studying confuses me, because these are concepts I'm just not in to. And once my dad got disfellowshipped for doing something wrong, I didn't want to get baptized anymore. Not if it meant it could happen to me if I did something wrong myself. Not that I thought I would... I just didn't want there to be a way for it to happen.

Over the years, that fear has gone. But I still have been reluctant to get baptized. Even though my stepdad pushes me, and other members of my family would pester me, I don't think I'm ready. Getting baptized means dedicating one's life to God, and I'm not ready to make that comittment. I love Jehovah... so I feel like if I decided not to follow his teachings, I'd be betraying him far worse after getting baptized than I would by staying where I am.

Yet here my sister is, with this noble goal. And I should be proud, because this is a good thing. But I don't like it at all. Petty envy has always plagued me in matters concerning her. Blinded by it, all I can see is The Golden Child doing something else to pride in her and shame in me.

At least I have until October though.

Ever since I came to like the show, I've bought all of my Avatar DVD's when they came out at Wal*Mart. Some of the older ones I had to get online, nevertheless, it was still through them. And all new ones have always been released there, so it was no problem to walk down and buy them.

I got up early today and went down to the store to get it. It was not there. Oh yeah, that ticked me off, seeing as I was told to come back and all. It was at this point I discovered they actually aren't going to get it at all, it seems.

...WTF?

It's a very popular show. These are the final episodes. What idiot is in charge of what they order?

Ticked off muchly, I ordered it online. I even coughed up thirteen dollars for next day shipping (Note to self: Never buy something when you're pissed. You don't have that kinda money to waste). I was going to be really mad if we ended up in the same scenario as last time. Luckily, though, according to the tracked my package has shipped and should be here tomorrow.

It wasn't a total lost today though. I also got this neat Universal USB Port. To my surprise, it came with a cord I've been needing for my digital camera. Hee! I can finally show you guys pictures of those kittens I babysat!

Sorry they're not as good as I'd have liked. But really, they're so damn cute. :3

The first one is Miso, and the second one Nara. They were half-asleep when I took the pictures. Gah! If my camera hadn't been dying, I'd have more for you guys! ;_;

I'll be back later with pics of my ever-growing TMNT (and regular turtle) collection. ^_^

There's a bending quiz going around. I was more than happy to take it. ^_^

You are an Airbender!

Airbender
The Sky Bison taught the first airbenders how to bend the air around them. While they cannot fly, airbenders can soar in the air for long distances by using a glider. Most important to airbenders is the concept of non-aggression. When they fight, they do not attack but defend themselves through circular movements that confuse their opponents.
Which Element do you Bend?
...I... find that so odd! Because I never saw myself as an Airbender, yet at [info]avatar_mirror , that's what I got too!

Okay. Now, according to my super awesome little guide here, the last Avatar episodes should've been out on DVD today. So I marched down to Wal*Mart... and they were all gone. This rang inaccurate in my noggin, for how the crap do you sell out by two in the afternoon?! I know it's possible, but I've gone to the store later in the week for my DVD's before and always found them. And as the man I asked over in electronics didn't know what DVD I'd asked for even was, I don't think it could have sold out. Because I mean, typically a person selling something would notice seeing the same thing so often being checked out, right?

Gah. So I have come to the conclusion that they merely did not get the DVD's on schedule. Therefore, I shall probably journey back to the store tomorrow in search of it.

Now, before I made this decision however, I had made the foolish decision to walk over to Albertson's as well to see if they had it. It was a long shot- they rarely have cartoon DVD's anymore. And of course, they didn't have it this time either. >.<

So then, I made an even stupider decision to walk back in the direction I'd just come from and over to the Hollywood Video. To be quite honest, I was shocked they didn't have any Avatar. That's messed up.

Either way, I had no luck. Now this is where the foolishness of my actions came to bite me in the ass. Let's consider the factors: First of all, it's midday. Secondly, it's about a thirty minute walk from my house to Wal*Mart. Thirdly- I'd already drained my drink.

Reasonably, I did not feel like walking all the way back home. So I decided to call home and get a ride. But I was short a dime. Spent quite awhile trying to find someone who had one. This made my poor, disorder-plagued feet twice as sore as before, of course. Damn Wal*Mart's floors...

Once some generous person finally parted with a dime, I went to make the call. And I wound up with The Pay Phone From Hell TM. As soon as the call went through... I have no idea what happened. There was this god-awful noise in the background. Everything, including my voice, would echo and buzz. And it was painful. Went away with a sudden throbbing headache. I could barely hear my stepdad, but the message got through at least, so I was picked up.

Seriously- I think Wal*Mart was out for blood this time, peoples. O.O

Despite being on my feet for the majority of the day, it did end up yielding it's fruits. For example, I finally got a graduation gift from someone in my family who lives a bit further away. In fact, they ended up giving me more than nearly everyone else! Yes, I am most pleased with five twenty dollar bills, thank you. ^_^

And it fit one of the new icons I made last night so well- perfect opportunity to use it. I realized that with so many unserpic slots open, I have room for Avatar icons! Yayness!

Now alas, I could not get any sentences done today. ;_; As mentioned, I was literally working all day. Not paid work, mind you (grumbles), but cleaning around the house work. Then we went grocery shopping and I'm just about pooped.

Well looky here! My Skywing has matured... ZOMG! It's a girl! *_* I can finally breed!

Anyone mind helping get the gold dragon some wings? Rare dragons need extra clickage. ^_^

Oh. My. God.

That was the single greatest finale I have ever seen in my life. Seriously- if you haven't seen it, go do it now. And if you haven't, do not click the little cut below for it contains spoilers of it's awesomeness!

And to wrap things up once again, I present my golden egg. (pats) :D

I have been waiting for three freaking hours just to get to the page where I can view the new Avatar episodes. And when I've finally got them, they're taking forever to load! Gah! (dies and is dead)

I should totally like write or something while I wait. Of course I don't. >.< Though I do plan to after I'm done watching Avatar. I hope to finish that Casey Audition before Sunday night, anyways. I got some more comics in the mail today- including that Tales one that focuses on him. Hope to use it to get me into a Casey-mindset.

Speaking of mail, I got something else that's quite interesting. Anyone remember that college I was thinking about? I tried to get more info from them, but I couldn't without giving them my phone number. I left it alone because I didn't want them calling me if it turned out I wouldn't be able to do it.

Anyways, today they sent me another letter. Only this one had a student ID card. O.O

It's not a permanent one, of course. But still- I wasn't expecting it. It also say that I've been selected for tuition assitance.

I'm kinda interested... but I dunno. For one, after my parents move, I have no idea how I'd even get there. What do you guys think?

As always, clicky on the egg please! (pats little golden egg) Oh! And have any of you guys seen the new Skywing dragon? My gosh- it's so beautiful! I want one of those next! If I can find one...

Well, I was going to be looking after that woman tonight. But she got a bit sicker so I called up my stepdad and he thought it be best if we took her to the hospital. He went back to visit her, but I'm home again.

And I'm really freaking pissed with my body right now. Anyone recall my doctor appoitment? You know- the one I was supposed to have in April but due to a scheduling mix-up we had to move to July? Yeah. It was supposed to be tomorrow. Not anymore. Why you ask? Well, I started my period yesterday and they can't do it in the middle of my cycle.

I don't know when I'll have it next. We had to cancel it, but their computers were down so we haven't set a new one up yet. God, I hope I don't have to wait another three months. ;_;

That aside, my day is getting slightly better. Being home with my computer helps. But my stepdad is also being a bit nicer. It seems that once he found out I was having my period (mom told me why it had to be cancelled with him in earshot), a little light went off over his head. Kinda like a 'that explains it' look. (giggles) He actually said he'd go get me some chocolate, so I'm way pleased about that. :)

And finally, I got two emails when I came back. One from Wal-Mart, saying the funds to my gift card have been restored. And then a comission statement from work saying those two little sales I did got my fifty-nine dollars. ^_^

Finally! Some money for me! And it's about fifteen more than I expected, so maybe I'll be able to get myself a little something.

Anyways, I'd like to thank you guys for helping my dragons grow. They're so pretty! Both are boys again (I need a girl so they can breed).

Here's Moriki: Adopt one today!

And this is Purl: Adopt one today!

Lastly, I believe I told you guys awhile back that I'd joined [info]avatar_mirror, an Avatar rating community. There's so many more characters you can be rated as! O.O Like- all of them! Even the ones you forget about!

They also have monthly themes, so it's always fun. I thought I'd post the stamps I have so far. The main one I already have in my bio, but I think I'll keep the rest to my LJ.

So, for the original one, it was an unanimous vote for Toph. Can't say I wasn't disappointed! :D She's my fave, after all. Though I wasn't expecting her, I'll admit- I thought I'd get Sokka. (shrugs)

Photobucket

After that, I did the Antagonist Theme. Whoo! Baddies! This one suprised me the most of the ones I've done so far. Besides my result, I had many votes for Mai, and one for Koh (the face-stealing spirit) as well. However, I actually ended up with Azula, of all people. O.O

Photobucket

Last but not least, I took the Minor Character theme. There were a few votes for The Mechanist, but I ended up stamped as Professor Zei. He was kinda funny. ^_^

Photobucket

Right now, I'm doing the Spirit Theme- and being very surprised again. So far, all of my votes have been for Hei-Bai (the forest spirit). You know- the panda? O.o

Either way, it's a neat site. ^_^

Heh... gotta hurry with this one!

Grandma's been irritating, but I've pulled through. I made an appointment today- and she wouldn't leave! Gah! Almost ruined the sale for me! But I did make that sale! A french chef knife, a paring knife, a table knife, and a trimmer for free! Yay!

After that, my friend and I went to see Wall-E. My God! It was so cute! Thank you so much for recommending it, Tori! I'd have never gone to see it otherwise!

Now, my friend and I are staying the night in my grandma's guest house. We're gonna watch Avatar on my computer. :D So I probably won't be online tonight- this is the longest I've seen her since we went to see TMNT together last March!

Give my dragons some loving please! The paper one only has three days! ;_;
